Left 4 Dead Characters & Better Cabinet Shot

Normally I wouldn’t spend a lot of post space on games that seem to be pretty much locked into the Japanese market but it’s a rather slow news week so here you go. Although who knows, I imagine there is a chance that a location like Round 1 USA might get their hands on these if there was interest; if anyone does bother to do a location test I would much rather see it happen at R1 or D&B to gauge interest. I think the controls would need to be better engineered for a Western release though as it looks like they are going ahead with the mouse and Wii Nunchuck with regular cords, as shown by this image shared with Game Watch:

Taito has unveiled the four characters for their new Left 4 Dead Survivors Arcade game. I recall that when the 1st and 2nd games were released for home units here that the character news was talked about a little bit. Apparently the game does take place in the US as opposed to say Tokyo.

I can see them doing the controls similar to the classic “The Grid”. What I’m hoping to see is the dashboard of the unit be a touch control type. This can be risk as well as a game changer that might innovate the way we play games today. It also might be a killer because of the price.
