Round1USA Opening TX Venue; Brings Disney Tsum Tsum back & Groove Coaster 3 To The USA

They might not be a household name in North America yet but as they grow, more people are taking notice of Round1USA. There are a few news items worth noting, wrapping up three headlines in one post. Let’s start with:

Round1USA Opening Grapevine, TX Location on May 20th

In just a couple of weeks, residents in or near Grapevine, TX will get to enjoy what Round1USA brings to the table and with 300 games to enjoy. This makes it one of their larger locations and as one would expect, it is stocked with tons of the latest games in both video gaming and ticket redemption. Some of the titles I spy from the Facebook album below include: Initial D8, Jurassic Park Arcade (Raw Thrills version), Lost Land Adventure, Mario Kart Arcade GP2, Maximum Tune 3, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Arcade, Star Wars Battle Pod (2 linked deluxe units), Storm Racer G, Super Alpine Racer, Time Crisis 4 and much more. This will mark the 10th location for the company in the USA.

Disney Tsum Tsum Arcade Returns To Select Round1USA locations

It looks like the location testing that Round1USA held for Konami’s Disney Tsum Tsum Arcade machines last year was a success. The company has announced that several of the locations (mostly in CA) are bringing the cutesy puzzle game/vending machine back for patrons to enjoy.

Taito’s Groove Coaster 3  Now Playable At All R1USA Locations

Last but not least comes another Japanese release that hasn’t seen wide distribution in North America – Taito’s Groove Coaster 3. Taito output in recent years has been steadily decreasing as their parent company Square Enix soaks up the arcade glory, Groove Coaster being one of the few hold outs left.

So is the tsum tsum game still being tested or is it already released? Just only because I don’t recall seeing it at the arcade show in November just gone.

Glad that round1USA is doing very good with their arcade business.

Not sure. It’s being treated like a test game but it coming back like this seems to indicate that they have the game. The problem for everyone else is that there is no distribution for the game for other venues to pick up, that I am aware of.
