Sega's Sanguozhi War 2 video

Yes, you probably won’t see this outside of Japan ever but it’s still interesting to watch. I bet if they marketed this type of card game to the right people it could do well overseas as I have known plenty of people that enjoy card-based games and they would probably enjoy combining that with a video game. Here is a short video from Youtube user azuritereaction .

UPDATE: Thanks to Editor from The Stinger Report, I realize that I overlooked the news that this game actually is being tested in the US at the moment and apparently those tests are going well. So the possibility of seeing this game in an arcade outside of Japan is much greater than I thought.  Stay tuned (and thanks to Editor for the correction)!

    Guys,

You have not been reading your Stinger 🙂

There is a US test of the game in Chicago, I visited the site back in September.

There is a possibility of a US launch as the US test is going VERY well.

    All the best,

    *wipes egg from face

I read through every Stinger I get but I guess I must have overlooked that in my excitement to report about Primeval Hunt. 😛

It will be interesting to see an arcade like this in the US.

This was from the “US Gearing for 2008” feature –

Games not brought to AMOA included the new shooter ‘Prehistoric Hunt’ (Proprietary Hardware) — spied the week before the show on test at a SEGA US site, the game will be one of many given an IAAPA airing (another proposed Orlando appearance will be ‘RaceTV’ – while the UK got to see these titles exclusively, why not AMOA?) Another new release that will stay under wraps a little longer is the ST card collector game ‘Sangokushi Taisen’ (CHIHIRO), seen at another SEGA facility in Chicago, and proving a sleeper hit for SEGA if not their customers.
