If you checked out the videos below from IAAPA 2007 thanks to Justin from Sega, you would have seen the first footage of the new video redemption game called Sea Wolf, based upon a classic Midway arcade title. It looks like the game is now available through at least one distributor, BHM Vending. The listed price is $7499.99, putting it in nearly the same realm as another video/redemption title Deal or No Deal. High price or not, the game looks like fun and packed with features so for operators that can afford it, it should be an excellent title.
UPDATE: As a note, this post is for the original version of Sea Wolf released at the end of 2007/beginning of 2008. Pricing has not been revealed yet on the latest version of Sea Wolf, Sea Wolf 55.
I played this in FL. this weekend with my seven year old son. We loved it. The place had two of them. Normally I hold off on spending money on redemption games, but this was really fun. Maybe some of it was that I remember playing the original Sea Wolf back in the late 70’s early 80’s at an arcade in Myrtle Beach.
It’s good to hear that the game plays well. I guess that’s why they decided to sell it with video only capability too.
