A few years ago someone tried to create an auctioning website somewhat similar to eBay but it was completely dedicated to video games called BiDiots. I actually picked up a couple of cool items from that site before they shut down due to a lack of users (which was in part due to a lack of promotion). Now someone else is giving the video game auction site idea a shot but this time it sounds like they are going to promote it a bit more and it already has more items up for auction than I ever saw at BiDiots(and this site just opened this week) so this is a good thing. Called Chasethechuckwagon.com (which I assume is based upon the fairly rare Atari 2600 game of the same name), the site has sections dedicated to Games, Arcade, Pinball, Systems, Vintage games and systems, memorabilia, jukeboxes and more. There is already one classic arcade game for sale there and a few other arcade-related items such as a marquee and “How to Win at Donkey Kong” manual. It would be cool to see this take off so we’ll keep an eye on it and see how it pans out.
