Another amusement show is upon us and this time it’s the annual GTI Asia Taipei Expo, currently being Taipei, Taiwan. Almost 100 exhibitors are there to show off their products and over the next few days we hope to have some material to show you. It’s already been announced that IGS has a couple of new games there, such as Anger Explosion and Three Kingdom War but so far there are no details on what either of those games entail (could Three Kingdom War be a new beat ’em up?) at the moment.
While details are scant so far on what’s at the show, we already have one video showing off a new touch screen music game called Theia, by Taiwanese company Hypaa. (The Mozarc video was removed by the user who posted it)
UPDATE: The resourceful guys at Bemanistyle found out who makes the game and found their website. Created by Hypaa they also found out that there is another music game beyond Mozarc called Theia, which was their first game. It looks like Mozarc is a newer project and Theia is an older one no one had heard of before. While Mozarc works like a Beatmania clone, Theia is more of a vertical DJ Max Technika clone as you can see above. Bemanistyle also says that a uBeat clone is at the show called Magic Box. It’s unfortuante that because of the similarities of all these games to other music titles that the makers probably won’t get very far without being sued.
UPDATE#2 another video of Mozarc is back
The original video I had found of Mozarc is back online and now with a new part. Hopefully the user won’t pull it again.
arggg, asshole deleted the video..
Hmm, wonder why.
Basically it is a vertical touch screen with gameplay like Beatmania. You could choose the speed at which the notes fall from above. Nice interface – I will keep an eye out for more on this.
Theia is the older game which is already released and not at the show, Mozarc is the newer game and is slated for a release this Summer.
Are you sure about that? On their site it says that Theia is the new game:

Never mind, I saw the update on Bemanistyle. They should fix that on their site.
if you read closely it says Theia was shown at last years GTI, not this years.
Yeah I completely overlooked the date, sorry. I’m really stepping in it with this one.
