Teaser site for Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Namco Bandai has launched a teaser site for their upcoming arcade title, Tekken Tag Tournament 2. There isn’t anything substantial there at the moment except for a link to the teaser trailer that spread through the internet like wildfire but at least we know where to look when they decide to reveal more about the game. As always I am curious about what the price will be on this one – when I talked with US Namco reps about Tekken 6 Arcade, the high price for that unit(I had seen it between $12k-$14k in the day) was quoted as being the barrier for them from giving it any support in North America so the few operators that grabbed one had to import it from Japan. Hopefully they won’t shoot themselves in the foot over the price tag with TTT2 and it also will be great if they give it a similar period of time in arcades as they did with Tekken 6, which was far better than what happened with Tekken 5.

surely they can’t overprice this game when it comes out if its using the same arcade hardware and game engine with only a few minor tweaks. this may get a wider release compared to when tekken 6 was first released. it said on highway game when they were giving an interview that they found that it was good what happened with tekken 6 and that they are interested in that sucess, so maybe it may get a wider release 🙂

Our fingers are crossed for that 🙂 Since it appears to be an upgrade to T6 instead of everything being completely new that *should* hold costs down but we’ve seen that before and it didn’t keep the price down since they figured that they could get away with it.
