A couple of Street Fighter bits here that aren’t jokes – first is G4TV’s look back at Street Fighter II as the game celebrates it’s 20th anniversary this year. I hadn’t thought about that along with the news of the SSFIV AE Versus kits that are starting to make their way out to arcades in the US (except for mine, despite having ordered it in January I still don’t have it which I’m increasingly becoming agitated about). Anyways, what about your fond memories of seeing the arcade version of SFII from back in the day(if you have any)? The first time I remember seeing it was at a popular ice cream/restaurant here in Utah called Leatherby’s. My dad took me there to pick up some food and as I waited around for that I saw the game that I had so often heard about from other kids at school and I got a chance to try it out. I tried out Blanka and I wasn’t very good at the game but it was still enjoyable. You can read the article here: [G4TV Remembers: Street Fighter II]

In related Street Fighter news, dates and some details have been announced for Super VS Battle 20XI, a fighting tournament taking place in the UK this August. Hundreds of fighting players will gather to compete on Marvel VS. Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Tekken 6 and probably more. For more details on that upcoming event, you can check that out @ NeoEmpire.

Interesting that you are also amongst a few of us waiting for our kits. I suspect both of us are getting it from the same supplier. I will not throw out any names here, of course. With you running this board, can you see the email address I put in just now? feel free to email and we can discuss
