AOU 2012 Mega Videos Post

Now that a little time has passed, here come the videos from the AOU 2012 event taking place in Japan this week, with enough footage to keep anyone busy for a little while. The only thing I have not found so far is a video of Namco’s Big Bang Smash, but I’ll add that if one is uploaded soon.

AOU 2012

Let’s start with a short overview video from the event, Namco’s Mobile Suit Gundam EX VS Full Boost trailer, and Square Enix/Taito’s Gyrozetter. Go 2:35 in to see the cabinet transformation take place, looks neat with the lighting.

Sega’s new Maimai rhythm game being played perfectly:

Who wants 40 minutes of the new Dance Evolution Arcade? If that is you, here’s a video for you. Or if you want it quick and dirty, there is the video right after it that’s only a couple of minutes long

Touch the Numbers Arcade. Very simple in nature but looks like it would be a lot of fun as a competitive game. To improve the single player, just add a “ghost” mode where you compete against others who have already played. This could work on something like TouchFX.

Game Center/Arcade Love. 4 player game that is a launch title for Sega’s new arcade download service:

Cave’s Dodonpachi Saidaioujou:

More from the Under Night In-Birth, from the makers of Melty Blood Actress:

And Sega’s most recent version of Border Break.

Finally, a Special Shining Force Cross Elysium video link here, just for ECM.

    Thanks 🙂

You can also add Border Break to the list of games that would get me in a bloody arcade more than every other odd blue moon (it’s been out for what? Ever? So the odds of this happening are about as good as Shining Cross happening 🙁

Yeah it’s been out forever now – up to version 2.7 as of AOU. I also would love to check out Steel Chronicle that Konami has made as competition to BB, that one seems to have a little EDF flare to it as well.

Maimai cabinet is bigger than I thought. I love to have a go at it but unfortunatly like many great game like this only stay in japan, if only they’d westernise it a little or maybe if sega of america or europe created a localised version then I’m sure it would be good and including songs from classic michael jackson to lady gaga and eminen etc they’d have a winner. Would so love to play after seeing it in action 🙁
