Well I think we can safely say that the opening of vintage arcades is officially a trend now as when ti comes to the various location openings we are reporting on these days, this happens to be the primary type of arcade showing up (I still have two others I’m waiting to report on as their grand openings should be relatively soon).
Today’s vintage/retro arcade opening is of the Zap Arcade in Jordan, MN. They appear to work on a day pass system, where all games are on free play, you just buy the pass and can play as much as you want while there. Some of the retro goodness they have available: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, X-Men, Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon, Tetris, Karate Champ, Hang On, Contra, Zaxxon, Silk Worm, No Good Gopher Pinball and more. While I’m not sure how much space they have overall, it sounds like they will be expanding the game content shortly. We wish them the best of luck in the endeavor and if you happen to be in that area, go out and support them!
