3/14 – Updated with a game features trailer

As mentioned the other day, Play Mechanix surprised us by getting into pinball with Pulp Fiction. That teaser racked up a ton of views in a short time, and for those eager to see more, we have a roll out of the game info with distributors of Chicago Gaming already taking orders.  What’s another surprise is that this is trying to mimic the style of pinball machines from the late 70s/early 80s, which I imagine should please those fans who are into simpler games and strong table flow. Check out the trailer:

For those interested in seeing/reading more, head on over to Chicago-Gaming.com, where they have the page rolled out with pricing and details. Despite being modeled after an earlier pin, the price is right there with Stern’s latest (MSRP $7999 for the base models, $9499 for the LE). The LE is limited to 1,000 units and comes with several differences that wouldn’t affect gameplay, like a cool-looking topper, a shaker, mirrored side blades, and so on.

Here’s a game features trailer that Chicago shared on the morning of the 14th:

ALSO, here’s a super detailed Featurette by Straight Down The Middle that gets into everything you might want to know about this (NSFW warning for language but if you know anything about PF, you probably know that already):

Here’s the playfield; It’s interesting to have a simple playfield like this with the various 3D sculpted toys (which a lot of classic ones didn’t have)

What do you think about it? I’ve had some simpler games on location before where they do all right, the only issue being that they tend to break down a lot so they can’t get momentum to keep people coming back. Perhaps something new like this can?
