Trade Show Updates: Family Entertainment Expo; IAAPI; DEAL; Amusement Expo

It’s trade show season right now in the amusement industry, and the time has come for us to look at what is going on at FEExpo (Italy); IAAPI (India); DEAL (Dubai); and Amusement Expo (Las Vegas). The first two began yesterday and run through tomorrow; DEAL happens next week (March 3rd-5th), and Amusement Expo is March 20th-21st.

Family Entertainment Expo – FEExpo

Family entertainment and arcades make for the perfect mix, thus this expo in Italy has a few arcade companies around. From this video on LinkedIn that must have been shot yesterday, UNIS has a strong presence there.

Sega is also there, representing their European product lines (which is why it includes products from LAI Games and ICE) – They have joined with a couple of other companies, so their booth also has some Raw Thrills product mixed throughout:

Further East, over in India there is IAAPI. The name always throws me off a little due to its proximity to IAAPA, but they are not related by organization. This one is all focused on India, which has been seeing explosive growth in amusement over the past few years.

Most of the companies we tend to be familiar with are found at the CSML India booth; They are a major Indian distributor. As this IAAPI ad of their shows, they represent Touch Magix, Raw Thrills, ICE, Adrenaline, Sega, and LAI Games:

Sega also has a small separate booth at A10.

As far as I am aware, the “first-ever launch” that is mentioned on this ad is from LAI Games and the new Smash DX game we talked about on the blog recently. I did some poking around and you can see the game in this sped up video at around 45 seconds in. The video then a screencap I grabbed:

The cabinet. This definitely looks like the “Extreme Offroad” game in a modified cabinet; That said, it’s possible LAI has changed more than that. I imagine I’ll find out for sure once Amusement Expo arrives.

DEAL

Next week, DEAL will be taking place in Dubai – a little earlier than usual. Often DEAL has happened post-Amusement Expo, sometimes even as late as May. While I’m not sure why it was bumped up, all of your major manufacturers will be there to show off what they’ve got for this growing market.

We’ll start with site advertiser Touch Magix, who sent in a press release about their presence at the show:

TouchMagix to showcase their exciting portfolio of games at the DEAL Expo 2024

Catch them live at the DEAL Expo in Dubai, at Warehouse of Games’ Booth #C73 in Hall 3.

TouchMagix are the pioneers of new-age arcade games having redefined immersive gaming experiences and have a fantastic collection of cutting edge titles. Warehouse of Games’ booth at this year’s DEAL Expo will be packed with their much loved arcade games titles along with new releases such as Pop It!

One of the newest TouchMagix’s titles, Pop It! will be launched for the Middle East at the DEAL Expo 2024. “Pop It” which is a well known IP, has seen a tremendous response in the US and the European market. Along with this, Carnival Cups Crane which combines an exciting game of skill with the crane will also be displayed for the first time.

Anup Tapadia, Founder of TouchMagix commented, “DEAL Expo has always been a major show for the Middle East, India and Africa regions. TouchMagix has a strong base here and our games have been very well received in this market. We are excited to launch our new games and cater to this growing market. ”

TouchMagix will also be showcasing the superhit “Mega Blaster” & all-time favourite “Space Warp 66” & much more at the DEAL Expo 2024.

About TouchMagix:

TouchMagix looks forward to welcoming you to the DEAL Expo 2024!

The show will also have one of the Middle East’s larger distributors, ASI, representing several lines. Those include Bay Tek, Sega, and LAI Games:

I won’t spend much time here since I’ll do a broader preview once we are closer to the show, but aside from the standard mix of manufacturers and distributors who will be there, we can expect to see some returns from last year. This includes companies who were not at IAAPA, such as Alan-1 and their Avian Knights indie game and exA-Arcadia. exA will have a booth much closer to the entrance and will be debuting some new titles with a focus on fighters.

Raw Thrills will have the production version of Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR on hand; I assume we’ll also see T-Rex Safari Adventure there too. Trio-Tech will be there showing off their new Super Blaster that just began shipping; LAI will show off Smash DX; Inowize will debut a new game for their QBIX platform, and I presume we will come across a few other new-new surprises.

Again, stay tuned for a more extensive preview on AEI from the week of the show.

On one last note, Midwest Gaming Classic takes place in April – there is a tiny chance I will go there to check it out as there may be a neo-retro arcade game launching there.
