Most of our focus here is on commercial use arcade games, but there are certain titles that find a lot of crossover interest in the residential realm. Golden Tee has long been one of those games. Back when I sold arcade games for a living, I would always sell a bunch of Golden Tee and Pac-Man arcade machines to homes, one month I even saw 40% of my sales come from such purchases.
Recently, Incredible Technologies launched Golden Tee PGA Tour 2025 for commercial locations to purchase. Today, that is being followed by the home edition. Let’s take a look.
Golden Tee PGA Tour 2025 Home Edition
As mentioned, demand for a home version of Golden Tee has long been a standard – as I can recall, IT was producing specially made home versions for the series as early as 2007 (possible sooner). The main difference between the two for a long time was in the online features – since commercial versions allowed for cash prizes in those tournaments, they had to separate them out. That was eventually resolved, now there is no difference software-wise between the versions – just in hardware, where home editions don’t accept money.
Another note on the home model being focused on here is that you can get what is called the “Clubhouse Edition” that comes in either a standard pedestal or deluxe cabinet setup, or there is the Golden Tee Go – a plug-n-play console concept that offers a trackball controller in a table top kind of setup. This only exists for homes, although is not priced like a typical home plug-n-play console. I doubt we will see snarky YouTubers asking if that is “worth all the money” like they do at rare times over some other select arcade systems, although consistency isn’t something you can expect when it comes to ClickBait Central.

Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2025 Comes Home
With Seven New Courses, New and Returning Modes of Play, and a Full Year of Content on the Way, the Best Golden Tee Ever Has Arrived
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Oct. 7, 2024 — Incredible Technologies is helping players keep their game in full swing with the Home Edition launch of Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2025, everyone’s favorite arcade golf game. This version celebrates 35 years of arcade golfing excitement with seven new beautifully designed courses, including two PGA TOUR venues, and several expanded game modes so players can continue to dominate the fairways from the comfort of home.
Players can now tee off on the tropical paradise of Bahama Isles, the serene Basin Lake, the prestigious Lexington Stables, the scenic Palmetto Coast, and the challenging Sahara Dunes. Plus, a pair of PGA TOUR courses will be available to players who wish to test their skills on real-world greens: TPC San Antonio will be available at launch, and TPC River Highlands will be available on Jan. 20.

And, in an entirely new twist, classic courses Bear Lodge, Pine Coast, and Rocky Hollow will receive the “re-teed” treatment with seasonal sets of pins and tees in early 2025.

Several other features will excite players, whether they’ve been playing for a long time or are teeing off for the first time. The upcoming GT Tour Mode will pit challengers from across the country against one another in a months-long battle for point supremacy and huge cash prizes.
The new Random Round game mode allows players who wish to mix things up to test their skills on 18 holes pulled at random from more than 100 Golden Tee courses. Players can also look forward to three new seasons of Club Pass rewards, three seasons of fresh pins and tees, and a steady stream of new clubs, balls, and player achievements.
