Sega Amusements are letting their lineup for IAAPA 2025 slowly trickle out, as following a batch announcement for several of their prize games last week, we now have full confirmation of one of their brand new titles for the show: Putt It! Par-Tee. We first mentioned this briefly when it was spied on location test ahead of this unveiling, so let’s now take a proper look at the game and what it entails.
Putt It! Par-Tee
As already gleaned from the aforementioned location test, Putt It! Par-Tee is a new skill redemption game concept merging the gameplay of an alley ball roller with golfing. As one of six characters (Zorq the Alien, Hazel the Witch, Captain Mulligan, Dimples the Clown, Unit 32 the Robot, and Dr. Eagle), players naturally don their golf club to putt the balls into the seven available score holes for points and tickets.
The screen above the score holes displays player progress, themed levels and character animations, with all the stats for spectators also broadcast on an LED dot matrix marquee up top. In the last 10 seconds of each game, players also have the chance to win the Double Points Final Shot, which as the name implies is a doubled last-minute decider in how many points and tickets they will receive.
This unique fusion of golf with alley rollers isn’t all that’s to it, however, as the other major element of Putt It! Par-Tee is its competitive socializing gameplay. Not only can players go toe to toe (or club to club) in 2v2 rounds, locations with the space and means have the option of purchasing up to three twin cabinets for linked six player matches. This creates an impressive wall of machines and green faux-grass playfields:
All in all, it’s nice to see Sega Amusements making more quirky, updated takes on classic redemption concepts for today – this has a similar character to Zombies! Ready, Deady, Go! from last year. Having that unique kind of identity in games like this is one of those important aspects of polish that elevates and gives them some good personality, which I would argue makes performance better over the long run. Those more interested in video games should also be pleased to know that this is far from the only release Sega Amusements will be bringing to IAAPA 2025 too – Maimai DX is already confirmed to be appearing there, following its official US debut at Amusement Expo in March, and from a couple of trade magazine previews we also know there is going to be a brand new cabinet model for a certain legendary Sega racer. SEGA Amusements is teeing up something truly special with Putt It! Par-Tee – a high-energy, skill-based redemption game that combines the charm of mini golf with the fast-paced thrill of an alley roller!
Set to make its world debut at IAAPA Expo, Booth 1006, Orange County Convention Center, Florida, from 18–21 November, it’s a game you can’t afford to miss.
Using a golf club, players putt balls into seven scoring holes before the clock runs out. Sink a shot, and another ball automatically pops out, ensuring nonstop action! Each player has their own display to track progress, while a top-mounted billboard display draws in spectators and keeps the crowd cheering every shot.
