LAI Games Reveals IAAPA 2025 Lineup: Phantom Vanguard, Ubisoft All-Star VR & More

The unveilings for IAAPA 2025 just keep on coming now that it is only two weeks away, as LAI Games have revealed their lineup for the show. They were among the biggest arcade exhibitors at last year’s IAAPA, with one of their largest ever booths for the event. If their slate as we’ll discuss is anything to go by, they will be having a similarly impressive presence this year. This includes numerous new games making their official US debuts, so let’s take a look at what has been announced:

Phantom Vanguard

Recently unveiled at the GTI Asia China Expo, LAI are now confirmed to be carrying Wahlap and IGS’ latest collaboration with Gameloft, following the four’s previous success with the Asphalt range of racers. For those who missed that previous coverage, Phantom Vanguard adapts Gameloft’s mobile first-person shooters (touted on the flyer as being downloaded 466 million times) into a new arcade light-gun game. The main unique draw of this is its patent pending ‘gun mount’ feature, which involves a mounted swivel controller allowing players to attach and detach their light-gun, switching functions in the process.

LAI have not got a trailer up for this yet, but since its original unveiling in September, Wahlap have been promoting it plenty; also, find their product page for it here:

Ubisoft All-Star VR

Having recently debuted at IAAPA Europe in September, LAI’s second virtual reality piece based on Ubisoft IP will be making its official US industry launch here, following its location tests earlier in the year. For those who may have missed the previous coverage of this Ubisoft All-Star VR, it is a hybrid shooting-racing game, using another unique patent pending controller for players to steer and blast their way through three levels with characters from Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, Far Cry and Splinter Cell.

It will be interesting to see how well this one does on the market, given the state of VR things right now. Perhaps it might prove a hit with operators looking to replace their Virtual Rabbids setups (which have still done well over the years), particularly with the ability to link up two units to offer four players. We’ll see:

Kaiju Rampage Unite

Last year, one of LAI’s big new games was their rebranded release of IGS and Wahlap’s Monster Eye 3, Kaiju Rampage. Back in May this then had a new four player tethered gun edition under the Unite moniker unveiled in China, which seemed poised to come over in the same way, and that is exactly what is happening now. The similar Assault model of Halo: Fireteam Raven brought the game to more locations, so this should help in getting Kaiju Rampage out there too.

Like Phantom Vanguard, LAI have not uploaded their own trailer for this yet, but Wahlap have for the original version (their own product page can again be found here too):

Others

The above three titles are the main examples LAI will have in video games, but the company has always dealt in more than that, and they have plenty of other product lined up for IAAPA. A curious example among those is Cube Clash, the latest pusher they are bringing out from Playmore and IGS. Like Phantom Vanguard above, this recently debuted at GTI 2025 in China, and was noted for its music game theme and use of cubes instead of the conventional marbles or coins in its pusher mechanisms:

As well as that, they are now going to be carrying the six player social entertainment floor attraction Hyper Grid from FOG (Future of Gaming). Lots of setups like these have been booming in location-based entertainment centers of late, so this is a shrewd move for LAI:

Alongside all of these, you can expect a number of returning LAI titles, most likely including Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars and a heavy focus on their Seasons range of cranes and prizes (for which they recently made a number of new hires). With them revealing so much upfront, it would be unexpected for them to have a surprise, but never say never…
