The last title to be released on the exA-Arcadia platform for 2025 is upon us, with Asuka 120% Burning Fest EXALLENT now shipping out to interested buyers. This is also likely the last arcade release of the year, unless someone else begins shipping a game out before the 31st. This release has reportedly done exceptionally well on test in Japan, and is already trending on Japanese X. Let’s dig in a little further.
Asuka 120% Burning Fest Exallent
This new installment of Asuka 120% was first announced at EVO Japan 2024 as a part of exA’s extensive fighting game line-up, resurrecting a popular title that got its start in 1994 for the Sharp X68000 & FM Towns home platforms. Most Western fans seem to know this from the releases on the Sega Saturn, as the Excellent and Final PS1 releases are generally frowned upon by the general Asuka fan base. ExA has built this new version from scratch (not a port), basing it off of the fan favorites “Limit Over” and Special Version 2 games, while going further to make additional improvements. I did get a chance to play it at IAAPA 2024, then a near-final build at IAAPA 2025 last month:
As that video points out, there are some changes to this edition that make it the definitive edition of the game
- Full English localization (first time that this has been done), with all of the lore intact
- All characters from every edition of the game are available to play
- Five selectable soundtracks
- Full movesets from Limit Over & Final plus new regular and special moves
- Freshly drawn graphics and new background animations
- Super low input lag
- TATE (Vertical monitor) support
The Asuka 120% Game Kits
Because Japan has the strongest Asuka fanbase, the launch has taken place there first, but it is shipping worldwide and can be made available on any exA system out there. Here’s the official trailer:
It also is the first time in a little while where exA has launched three kits:
Standard – Your standard kit that includes an A1-sized poster, moveset art, a couple of smaller posters, marquee art, and the game cart.
Limited Edition (LE) – Includes everything in the Standard plus an exA button & ball top kit, and all fourteen character banner posters.

LE Special – Includes everything in the LE kit plus an EXA system that has Asuka 120% artwork printed directly to the case.

As of publishing time, the game has not appeared on the Western exA shop, but that should likely change very soon.
More exA IAAPA 2025 Videos
As a note, since we published our exA-Arcadia IAAPA post, I’ve posted several other exA videos. In case you missed them for one reason or another, you can check them out below, although note – I’m not done yet. I still have Bayani, Cyberblocker R, and Neon Inferno EXA Label to edit and publish, so stay tuned for those.
Also as a note, exA has some big plans for next year, both for games announced and as-yet-unannounced. They will also be returning to Vegas at Amusement Expo 2026, where some of the latter will be given some love. We’ll be there to check them out and share. Until then, enjoy these:
