JAEPO 2016: Capcom Keeps Attack On Titan Arcade and Cytus Omega Alive

The next big trade show that is on the arcade calender is JAEPO 2016. This is the major trade show for the arcade/amusement industry in Japan every year, so expect to hear a number of interesting announcements in the coming weeks.

Capcom’s Current JAEPO Line-Up

Among the first of those have come from Capcom. Showing a much stronger presence at last year’s JAEPO, they announced an Attack On Titan arcade title at the time but little to no news had been heard about the game since. That is apparently going to change as the company plans on showing off Attack On Titan Team Battle:

They also will be showing off the new Mario Party medal game and their rhythm arcade title Cytus Omega (which also was shown off last year but it has been going through frequent location tests as Capcom fine-tunes the arcade version to stand out from the mobile build. As you can see from the odd-looking cabinet here, the game uses a unique 3D sound system and it is touchscreen based. Capcom has not announced a production date for this other than to say it is coming in 2016.

The official JAEPO page for Capcom can be found here; other companies will be launching theirs shortly but they often start out with games we already know about, with the surprises and new games coming later.

What are your thoughts on these developments?

Like I said before capcom could easily convert the mario party game to pay tickets instead of medals and this would be a win win. The other games have zero chance of getting released here unfortunatly as per usual.
