Everyone’s favorite videmption game ever is getting a sequel. We don’t have any pics of it yet but Play Mechanix has revealed that the new version of the game is out there somewhere with this Tweet:
Be sure to keep an eye out for the brand new Deal or No Deal DELUXE! New graphics, new girls, the MEGASPIN – what more could you ask for?
Seeing how the first Deal Or No Deal game made buckets of money for some operators and can be found in numerous editions such as with a ticket dispenser or a ticket printer as well as a Street version and deluxe, with or without the stool, it’s safe to say that this new one will probably be a big hit. Given the Megaspin feature, I wonder if it will be using a Wheel Of Fortune arcade type setup or not. I imagine that we’ll “officially” see this game at the upcoming AAMA Distributor Gala which is week or two away.
UPDATE: Thanks to Jordan for catching this video that serves as a trailer for the new DoND by ICE. It’s a kit that can be fitted to current DND models giving them a needed boost in income.
Speaking of new games available (that we do have a picture or video of), our friends and sponsors at BMI Gaming have let us know that a boat racing game seen at IAAPA last year is now available: AquaRace Extreme 3D by Simuline. Here’s a video showing yours truly sitting down to play it last year along with Kevin Williams – I think we accidentally picked the single player mode here as in the dual player mode it’s supposed to switch off between players every thirty seconds. Hopefully since this was taken, Simuline has improved the 3D effect which needed some work but the other effects such as the wind and water spray were perfect (in fact the wind effect in particular is something I began expecting to feel without thinking about it when I played other racers at the show afterwards, it was that good). The standard version of the game is already around $35k, BMI doesn’t have a price listed yet for the 3D version at the moment but hopefully that will be ironed out soon.
Deal or No Deal needs Howie Mandel as the game’s host. The game is a lot of fun to watch other people play. I saw a family of four fighting with the mother because she wouldn’t take the bankers offer and ended up winning the maximum jackpot anyway. The other voice just sounds generic, but I’d rather play the game for tickets then watch the show on television.
(Also, Adam. Capcom announced they will be balancing Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition at the Evo fighting game tournament this past weekend. They say it will be rolling out to select arcades for testing before the patch goes up for the console version.
I heard about that, I’ve just been trying to find out from sources if it’s only Japanese arcades that will get the update or if they will bother to update the VS kits out there as well
ICE has already put up a product page for the Deal Or No Deal Mega Deluxe kits. It will be a full update kit to existing cabinets.
I just played this game at the Philadelphia, PA Dave&Buster’s. I let my girlfriend play. We got the maximum 300 tickets on the first play. We had luck in that moment.
(By the way, it may be to early to find out if the USA kits of ssf4ae will get an update. It would awesome if they did. )
