New Games As Seen At the Park Avenue Openday In The UK

arcadehero June 6, 2014 2

Every year in the UK, a couple of distributors get together to hold an industry event where they show off some new amusement products. Most of the time there are a lot of products we have seen already but usually there are one or two new items to check out. Kevin Williams of The Stinger Report and the DNA Association stopped by the event which took place two days ago and grabbed these pictures for us. Once again, my thanks to him for the effort.

For starters a look from the outside:

Now for the new stuff. Here is a new basketball themed videmption game called Burning Basket that uses a transparent LCD screen with the prizes found behind that screen. Same basic concept as Black Out.

This kids game called Kiki Fun 26″ was also a new item. It is a multi-game compilation featuring a touchscreen and several games for kids. It’s a step up from bartop multi-game units with that specific audience focus.

You might recall this game from a little while ago, Technoplay’s Mini Motor Racing Arcade. This is available now worldwide although I’m not sure yet who is distributing outside of Europe.

I’m not sure what the deal is with this game by Andamiro. At IAAPA 2013 it was Spongebob Squarepants Hit The Beat; at Amusement Expo 2014 it was just Hit The Beat, zero Spongebob licensing; here it is back to SB again. At least the core game itself is fun no matter what the characters on the screen are.

And for some other known favorites, Sega’s Transformers Human Alliance and Plants Vs. Zombies. It is kind of amusing that the Transformer logos are on the wrong sides here.

Some of the latest Stern Pinball games:

As well as the latest from Adrenaline Amusements:

That pretty much sums it up! Thanks again to The Stinger Report for the photos!

I never knew mini motor racing had a card to go with the game. Is this similar to WMMT series?

Someone should tell them that the side fins on Transformers are upside down/on incorrect sides.
