Sega Amusements released a new trailer for Daytona Championship USA this morning, showcasing the recreation of the Daytona International Speedway. This follows a trailer from a few weeks ago that focused on the remake of Daytona USA’s Three-Seven Speedway.
The Daytona International Speedway Trailer
Since this particular track aims to recreate the actual course, it has a stronger focus on the “World Center of Racing” stadium seating and such as opposed to over-the-top set pieces (like Sonic Mountain). Still, they do show the helicopters hovering close to the track and Sega themed blimps. The road textures look detailed and the best way to watch this trailer is at 1080p60 so you can see in in all of it’s smoothness. And of course you can’t go wrong with featuring the famous Daytona USA theme song:
Due to time constraints this morning I’ll forgo the picture by picture breakdown like I did before but now that we’ve had these previews, next I imagine we’ll see Dinosaur Canyon or Lakeside Castle. Some adjustments have been made to the tracks that we saw at IAAPA or EAG so it will be interesting to see those changes…then to see the new Seaside Galaxy and the sixth track which will also be city themed.
I also expect to see a near final version of the game at Amusement Expo 2017 in Dallas, TX here in a few weeks. It should be fun to compare the 50% complete version with the 95% one.
