Recently I had the opportunity to play ICE’s, new game, Screw Ball. This game is now for sale so it should be showing up at arcades soon if it has not already. I found this game on location at the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, NY as part of their Have a Ball summer exhibit. The game will be on location at the museum until September 4th.
The object of this game is to get 12 balls into the holes to win the bonus tickets aka the jackpot. Then you have to get whatever balls you do not get into the holes during the first round in during the bonus round to win the jackpot. If you miss more than 4 balls on the first round the bonus round will not occur. The game has a spinner that you have to spin with your hands. This is a simple game that is easy to understand that anyone can enjoy playing.
I live in Western NY and this game was designed by Marcio Viera who is a designer and engineer at the ICE factory in Clarence, NY. It was designed right in my backyard which is neat! Stacy Kirchmeyer, another employee at ICE in Clarence, NY who is part of the Research and Development team at ICE did the voices for this game. Marcio and Stacy did a great job with this game!
Here is a video of me playing the game at the Strong Museum of Play. I also managed to get the jackpot during this play on the game.
I want to know the dude who does the voiceovers for ICE’s Carnival Classics line of games (Down the Clown, Whack N Win). I think he also did the voices for that Robin Hood videmption game, too.
