Wahlap Previews GTI Asia China Expo 2026 Lineup: Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune Ignition; Battle Through The Heavens; More

Wahlap and Maximum Tune

It’s nearly time for the next major arcade trade show out in China, GTI Asia China Expo 2026, which means that, among many others, site advertiser Wahlap are bringing out a slew of new releases. They typically always offer decent previews of these in advance of the event, and have done so this year in English and Chinese, (with some releases being exclusive to the latter). So, let’s take a look at both to see what’s up next from them before the show gets under way on the 10th:

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune Ignition

The biggest of the bunch is undoubtedly the first ever appearance of Bandai Namco’s Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune Ignition outside of Japan, where it is still yet to release. Ever since being announced in early 2025 this has been one of the most anticipated arcade titles out there, and an early showing in China has looked likely after it was confirmed it would be coming there via Wahlap just under a year ago. As such, this is going to be their headlining game at GTI this year, so expect the red carpet to be well and truly rolled out for it on their booth. Hopefully we’ll also see that happening for it outside of Asia soon, and perhaps we’ll get an announcement about that at the special live event coming up on Friday…

Battle Through The Heavens

As well as their showcase of Maximum Tune Ignition, Wahlap are debuting a new-new title based on a major Chinese IP. Whilst it isn’t the most known property outside of the country, Battle Through The Heavens has been a big animated television series there since 2018, and now Wahlap are bringing out a card battler based on it with Taiwanese arcade veterans IGS. This further underlines the importance of the genre over there – also of note is that their card-based version of Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix’s NBA Superstars will be returning here. It would be surprising to see this one come over to the West, though:

Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade / Moto Blitz DX Plus

Wahlap will also be bringing a number of returning games (like the aforementioned NBA Superstars), and among them are a pair that are already beginning to make waves out West. We have recently covered how LAI Games are carrying both of the vertical screen Plus updates to Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade and Moto Blitz DX, with the former already shipping, and they will be back in full force at GTI. Not long afterward, both will be appearing at IAAPA Expo Europe too, and are surely going to get plenty of attention at IAAPA proper in November.

Other Games

That’s hardly all Wahlap will have at GTI, as alongside their video games, they additionally deal in plenty of redemption. One new piece that deserves a small spotlight there is this new video redemption game based on the children’s Miraculous cartoon franchise, again made with IGS, which seems to have some hack and slash (and spinner) action going on. Interestingly, Amusement Source International’s logo can already be spied on the cabinet, so that settles who will be releasing this one in the US already. Again, this will be at IAAPA Expo Europe, as recently mentioned in an edition of Newsbytes.

Other returning games will include Demon Hunter 1892 (look out for potential news about it releasing over here soon), and their two Eggy Party active kid-tainment titles. Wahlap’s  English preview also mentions that Adrenaline Amusements’ Disney Speedstorm Arcade will be there, in what will be its Chinese debut. It’s possible that might have a redesigned cabinet like NFS Heat Takedown did, though there hasn’t been any promotional material showing whether that’s the case yet.

Stay tuned to the site in the days, as we do expect to hear back from Wahlap with plenty of media on how the show goes, while also covering any other new games from other companies that we come across. Until then, which of Wahlap’s previewed titles for GTI Asia China Expo 2026 interests you most?
