New Videos: Daytona Championship USA Championship Mode; Golden Tee 2018 Launch Preview; Overtake VR

Well, I just found a little bit of internet time amidst a busy week of setting up games for a major event in the area; let’s take a quick look at three new videos that showcase some arcade gaming.

Championship Mode Detailed For Sega’s Daytona Championship USA

Sega’s remake of Daytona USA has been out on the market for a few months now but that hasn’t stopped the company from actively marketing the game on Youtube. Frankly, I think that all arcade games should get such treatment well after their releases as opposed to just at release time. This new trailer showcases the ‘Championship Mode’, something that I do not believe was active in the versions I have played at trade shows (I have yet to come across the game in the wild although I heard that an FEC about 30 min from me bought four of them). This mode also has you play through the new mirrored/re-themed tracks:

Golden Tee 2018 Launch Preview

That time is finally here for fans of arcade golfing as Golden Tee 2018 officially launches this coming Monday. As a kind of reverse of what Sega is doing with Daytona, Incredible Technologies has been really good at hyping up GT2018 for the past couple of months. They’ve teased new courses and features little by little instead of throwing it all out there in one video. This is more of a streamed gameplay style trailer though, check it out:

New Setup For Overtake VR

Ok, this isn’t really a trailer, it’s more of a live play. We’ve mentioned Overtake VR by IGS before and here is a new cabinet design that has been developed by Chinese company Wahlap, featuring a screen in front of the player so that on-lookers can see what is going on:

That should do it for now!
