The lazy days of Summer are here but that also means that various games we’ve spoken about are starting to show up at locations around the globe. Let’s take a look at some new videos showcasing a few of those titles.
Tomb Raider Arcade (Adrenaline Amusements)
As promised, here is new footage of Adrenaline Amusement’s Tomb Raider arcade machine. I asked Jeff at Adrenaline about this and found out that the company has their own coding crew that works on their stuff – it’s not being outsourced to other studios. Tomb Raider was launched in May and it should now be shipping with the complete software which clocks in around 60 minutes (most light-gun shooters tend to feature around 20 to maybe 30 minutes of play). That shows the benefit of being based upon a console game but it is different enough that I’d classify it as being an arcade exclusive. The video below is available in 4K (although it was just posted this evening so it might take some time for that part of it to be processed and available):
Halo: Fireteam Raven Assembly Instructions
Putting an arcade game together tends to require more time than it does technical skill, simply making sure that bolts and cabinet pieces are properly put into place. To help reduce the time needed thumbing through the manual when the game arrives, distribution company Betson has released this video showing how to put the game together. While this is about 20 minutes long, the process itself probably takes an hour or two – I recall the Star Wars Battle Pod took about 3 hours to put together with four people:
The Making Of Iron Maiden Pinball
Stern is back with another ‘Making of’ video, this time for their latest release, Iron Maiden. Sit back and enjoy:
That’s all for now! Which of these games are you most excited to play (if you haven’t already)?
