exA-Arcadia To Launch Chaos Code -Nemesis Experiment- This Summer

exA-Arcadia is off to a busy start this month, testing multiple games and prepping launches for those titles. While the subject of today’s post hasn’t been given a location test date at this time, the company has unveiled some new details ahead of this sequel’s launch in the Summer. Let’s take a look at Chaos Code -Nemesis Experiment-.

What Is Chaos Code?

Chaos Code is a 2D fighter created by the Japan-based development team FK Digital. Originally released to Japanese arcades in 2011, the title received some iterations over the years, including a PS4 port, until an “ultimate edition” was released worldwide on the exA-Arcadia in May 2020. I grabbed that game and it’s been a solid performer for my exA, finding a few fans over time.

Chaos Code Gets A Sequel

For a time, it was thought that Chaos Code EXA was going to be the last title released by FK Digital when one of the principle people at the studio (and the producer of the series) passed away a few years ago. That thought was obliterated last year when exA-Arcadia unveiled the sequel at EVO Japan 2024, setting up another game that exA can add to its exclusive roster.

Now a year later, that game is getting ready to launch, with a tentative release date set for this Summer. I had a chance to play an earlier build at IAAPA 2024, which you can watch here if you’re so inclined, but there is some new media that was just released to promote the upcoming CCNE release.

This first video showcases Hikaru (which is kind of the “Ryu” of the CC series), Kagari, Chaos Crasher Gou, Ray, and some of the new stages and special effects:

The next video highlights just the characters Vein & Kudalak Sin. I would also note that the new stages have more parallax to them than in the previous game:

A press release with more details on these particular characters and the game can be found at 4Gamer (Japanese).

As a reminder in case you are new to the modern arcade scene and/or exA, this release is not just limited to Japan, but will be available for any arcade on the planet with an exA machine to grab. What do you think about this new fighter?
