IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 Round-Up: New Arcade Games In Europe

Welcome to our coverage of IAAPA Expo Europe 2025, which was held in Barcelona, Spain this past week. Note that we ourselves did not attend the Expo, but as usual, we have consulted with people who were there (e.g. Kevin Williams) that have helped to verify information. Most of the photos we’ve gathered here are from public shares on LinkedIn; initially we had hoped to get some original snaps, but on this occasion that wasn’t to be for most of what you see below.

Our friends over at Intergame Online also just posted a Flickr album with photos from the event.

As usual, we will start with our sponsors (TouchMagix & Wahlap), then get to everyone else alphabetically. If there is anything we have missed, do let us know and there will duly be an update. Note that we tried to source photos for several companies mentioned in our IAAPA Europe preview, including Bitronic, Hero Zone VR, Magic Play, Superwing, and Wik, but as of this time, we have been unable to find any.

Others like Hologate did make a post, but they didn’t have product to demo there; or you had companies like Digital Centre with product that we don’t really cover here like photo booths. Also, we won’t separate VR-focused companies from the rest, since there are so few left. It’s also notable that this year has seen a lot less pinball than in the past couple of IAAPA EU events – that usually indicates that it hasn’t been a super strong seller for commercial locations.

TouchMagix

TouchMagix had a small booth with three of their principal pieces: Minions: Bullseye Mania; Pop It!; and Pudgy Penguins: Polar Challenge. You can see a poster for their Augmented Reality pool system, MagixPool, but I’ve not seen that one in person yet.

Wahlap

After holding a huge and dazzling display in China at the GTI Asia China show, Wahlap had a greatly reduced presence for this show, but they still had a few games to show that are aimed at the West. These included Asphalt Legends 9 DX, Asphalt Moto Blitz DX, and Monster Eye 3 Unite, as well as some redemption.

Ace Amusement

Ace had a focused version of their product selection compared to the GTI Asia China Expo just gone at this show, but all these we could consider as headed their way West. Perhaps licensed through someone like Coastal or Amusement Source International for the US; UDC for the UK.

Bandai Namco Amusement Europe

As Bandai Namco’s European amusement subsidiary works in large part as a distributor across the continent, they had plenty of Raw Thrills product to show, but that did not include the non-VR version of Godzilla Kaiju Wars. They did have GoldStorm Pirates on hand, but, to the apparent dismay of some, no Resident Evil 2 Arcade (note that from our earlier coverage, we did point out that the game was still a ways off and that it likely wouldn’t be showing up at events like this any time soon).

In terms of what was there, Raw Thrills’ Top Gun: Maverick and Wizard of Oz both made their European debuts, seeing as they just missed out on appearing at EAG in January due to being launched at March’s Amusement Expo International. Albeit not pictured, the Pac-Man Street Range also came out in full force, although it doesn’t seem to have included any of the new additions that have recently been shown at the Chinese expos (but will likely be coming soon to the West as well).

There was additionally no sign of Taiko no Tatsujin (or Speed Igniton, unsurprisingly) still, despite previous suggestions that it would be appearing in Europe sometime this year. Granted, that may have just meant its initial location test for the territory, but even that has not happened as of yet. There’s a good chance this is down to the issues Bandai Namco have had with its US rollout, although those have apparently been resolved… so whether things move faster now remains to be seen.

DOF Robotics

Both DOF’s LinkedIn Page and this article at Blooloop discuss DOF’s presence at the show well, although Blooloop suggests that this was the “debut” of Angry Birds Fury Road. Perhaps that is to say it’s available now, since it first appeared at IAAPA 2024, as we covered to an extensive degree. I’m checking on that to be sure, but in the meantime, the game was at the show, along with several other large attraction offerings.

Electrocoin

UK stalwart Electrocoin has made a stronger pivot towards redemption in recent times, offering a variety of games that no other distributors carry. Here this included cranes, merchandisers, and a soccer redemption game called Hot Soccer, which is similar to ICE’s World Football Pro but with a big video screen. However, they did not have any Stern Pinball product on hand as we thought they might (due to them being the official Stern distributor in the UK and elsewhere), likely due to the presence of Stern’s own booth at the show. That hasn’t stopped them from featuring it before though…

ELAUT

We don’t focus on ELAUT much since they don’t touch video games very often, but it sounds like they had a strong show. Two new products they showcased included the Smurfs Goal Champs Soccer and E-Claw Trailer models. They also just debuted a website redesign.

Flamestone/Leon Amusement

This Chinese factory, which had two different booths, but operates with three different names had posted that they would be at the show on LinkedIn a couple of weeks ago. As of this time, they have not shared any media of their booths, and I haven’t seen them posted by anyone else. However, they were at GTI with the same Master Hunter game, so here’s a photo of that; presently they are set to attend IAAPA 2025 under the name Leon Amusement, where they’ll be next to the LAI Games booth.

From what I can tell, this Master Hunter game appears to not really be a Big Buck Hunter competitor, but more of a standard setup than Mega Shot (using the same gun and similar software, but on a regular big TV instead of vertically mounting it or something of that nature).

Holovis

As mentioned in our preview, this company has been making a pivot towards unique mini-golf games, particularly with their modular 360Golf courses. These are great for smaller FECs who want to get into mini-golf, but who may not have the captial necessary to develop an entire mini-golf course.

JNC Sales

This company shares a similar product selection to Amusement Source International (which operates in North America), although I don’t believe that the companies have any actual connection to each other. I could not find any photos of their booth aside from one that Intergame Online posted to their Flickr album, which shows Furious Speed DX, Derby Day, and Rooster 2 Bro DX (the latter two are carried by ASI here in the US). Here’s a video that they recently posted about Furious Speed:

Kalkomat

I couldn’t find many photos of the Kalkomat booth, however, they did have some new items. Per this post, they premiered what I assume are three new boxers, “illuminated models Kaboom, Bang Bang, and Flash”; they also had this Boxer TV with Tournament Mode, featuring a built-in display and championship functions.

Re-Play SRL

This Italian distributor has an interesting angle in that they put a strong focus on “kid-tainment” products, offering many games that are sized to the comfort and interest of toddlers. It’s a lucrative subset of market, which is why I’m often surprised we don’t see more attention thrown that way. Aside from some redemption product, they had a couple of new pieces, from a kids photo machine to the Talking Tom & Friends Gold Rush that had initially been seen at the JET Games USA booth at Amusement Expo 2025.  They also have a quick video here.

Rugged Interactive

We hadn’t mentioned this on in our preview as we weren’t familiar with them, but in looking through LinkedIn, I came across this video of their new Scorze interactive soccer arena game. This would maybe classify as a Mixed or Augmented Reality piece, where players attempt to hit the lit goals – either behind an inflatable goalie or against another player. Video can be found here.

Sega Amusements International

We’ve already covered what Sega Amusements would have at IAAPA Europe this year plenty, thanks to them revealing it in advance at the start of the month, but they did have a packed booth (their largest ever for the show) which is most definitely worthy of coverage.

As mentioned previously on the site, they most prominently had the biggest new arcade product launch of the show in the form of LAI Games’ Ubisoft All-Star VR. LAI have attended IAAPA Europe by themselves in previous years, but only with small booths (and this year they did not at all), so product from them like this and Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars got a hefty push here from their main European distributor.

Elsewhere there was the new Standard model for Apex Rebels, Alpha Ops VR Strike, and their various new redemption offerings, including Mini Cube Prize World. Also of note is Subsoccer Arcade getting proper European representation now (following its special exhibit at last year’s show by Primetime Amusements), with it neighboring fellow social entertainment pieces from 501 Fun as part of SAI’s booth.

Overall, it certainly appears that Sega Amusements had the most new-new products to offer at the show. Instead of photos, they have been more aggressive in pushing videos from the event; most are only found on their LinkedIn page. Here are links, but I believe you need an account to view them: Ubisoft All-Star VR – Mini Cube Prize World – Subsoccer Arcade – High Five Tickets – On Target 2-Player – Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars – Ferris Fantasy – Capto Crane Bonus Wheel.

Stern Pinball

Stern Pinball had their own booth here in association with Cocomatic Pinball, who distribute them exclusively in Spain and Amsterdam. Cocomatic did post some videos to their Instagram from the show, but the only decent photos of their booth comes from the setup, so this shall have to do here.

Triotech

Triotech doesn’t always go to these shows with their biggest attractions – sometimes they have stuff that is just for the FEC and showing it in a more compact booth space. Running up to this show, they began to tease a new version of their Super Blaster game, which made its grand debut at this IAAPA and is available now in both North America and Europe.

UDC

Whilst some may have expected them to debut some new games from Ace, given their close ties, UDC instead focused more on launching several of Playmore’s pushers (sold by LAI in the US) and their main surprise new product – Arccer’s Maimai-like Dance Show, placed next to StepManiaX (which had the Step Revolution team and a new update on hand as usual). One other interesting addition by UDC to their roster is the E-Boxer system that debuted at Amusement Expo 2025 via Attractions & More. Video of that is here.

UNIS

UNIS had a big booth, helped in good part by another new line of modular prize games that they are calling the Claw Tower Express, which certainly stands out.

UNIS loves cranes

For all of their focus on redemption and cranes, they did have some videos to promote too though, such as Monster Kart DLX, Dino Storm, and the new Monster Jet Riders.

Valo Motion

This company that specializes in Mixed Reality products had their Valo Climb as the biggest attraction of the booth, but also had the likes of their Valo Jump and a couple of other pieces on hand. I don’t recall seeing the Valo Climb with this kind of setup though, which does look nicer and more location-ready than it had before.

VEX Solutions

This VR-centric company debuted their first non-VR product in VEX Party Dash (although they did have their VR arena setups available as well). This one is closer in style to the Valo Motion above as opposed to the Inowize QBIX, not requiring any controllers to play. It comes with three games and from this video, looks rather seamless.

Yuto Games

Finally, we have the little Chinese company that can when it comes to social media marketing. It’s difficult to say if they have a game that’s managed to break out as a big hit out West yet, but they are still very aggressive at both producing and promoting a lot of product, whether original or not. Their Crazy Drive game does appear to be their own though; I’ve seen them touting that it is based off of real roads/geography in China.

That is it for our rundown of IAAPA Expo Europe 2025. From what we have heard the show didn’t quite go over as expected – there seems to have been a slight over-expectation in terms of turnout, with around 15k attendees vs the 17k that had signed up in advance. Nonetheless, next year’s show is to be in London for the first time in a little while (the last time it came there was 2022), and should hopefully see more footfall.
