Last year about this time, we unveiled that a new company by the name of Blue Motion Games would make their debut to the industry at IAAPA 2024. A few months after that, they arrived at Amusement Expo 2025 with two premiere titles: Desert Chase & Cannonball Jam. Both were large 4-player games intended for FECs; now they are both getting 2-player models. Let’s take a look.
Desert Chase
Desert Chase is an original light-gun game that incorporates motion seats and special effects like wind* as players experience a sort of Mad Max style, post-apocalyptic landscape across two levels(as I recall, these were longer than a typical 2-3 minute level). The 4-player version started shipping in January 2025, and as mentioned, it was at AEI. It also was spotted as a part of a Chuck’s Arcade location recently.
These are reportedly earning well from some data that BMG sent me(“ROI in under 5 months” for “many locations”), and to build on that momentum, they have now launched a 2-player model to reach more locations, with games arriving in November. This comes with the similar feature set: 3DOF motion seats, fans for wind, vibration effects, and surround sound; aside from half the seats, the other difference is the 65″ 4K screen.
While Blue Motion Games will not have their own booth at IAAPA 2025, this version of Desert Chase will be found at the Player One Amusement Group (P1AG) booth, #840.
*We used to call these “4D” or “5D” games, but that’s long dropped out of use.
Cannonball Jam
Their other game is more focused on kids, with Cannonball Jam also being a gun game, but it fires actual balls at the screen. It also has more levels than Desert Chase (six instead of two). Both games have a big footprint, but Cannonball feels more imposing due to the large chamber that contains the balls.
Much like the change from 4p to 2p, the compact version of Cannonball Jam maintains the same features as its larger cousin, just with two stations and a 65″ screen:
Next Game – “A Hollywood Partnership”
In the info that BMG sent along, they also teased their next game, although we don’t know anything beyond what I’ll quote here:
Blue Motion Games is preparing to unveil a brand-new arcade game based on a premium Hollywood IP. This highly anticipated title is the result of a strategic partnership with the IP owners, with an official announcement expected within the next two months. This move signals the company’s ambition to blend blockbuster storytelling with its signature interactive experiences.
“We’re thrilled with the market’s response to our products,” said the company in a recent statement. “The success of our four-player versions and the upcoming two-player models open the door for even more locations to feature our games. We’re confident that our upcoming Hollywood IP-based title will set a new benchmark for arcade entertainment,” says president and cofounder, Salim Sabbagha.
