IAAPA 2025 Updates: Speed Rider 4DX, Simon Arcade, Alan-1 & More

We have a whole host of IAAPA 2025 updates today, as thanks to a few companies’ announcements and a small preview from a distributor attending the show, a clearer picture of what will be there is now forming. There will still be a full preview to come closer to the main event next week, but if you want to get an even earlier heads up of how things will look, this post is your chance:

IAAPA 2025 Updates

This week, Shaffer Distributing has been sending out their IAAPA 2025 ‘cheat sheet’, covering some (but not all) of the new games that will be at the show. To save time and space, this video below goes over them. As well as some we know more about (more on them after this), the preview includes new games from Adrenaline Amusements, Andamiro, JET Games and others, where we currently have just the names to go off of. Among those are intriguing examples like Adrenaline’s Back To The Future and JET’s GI Joe, and a number of other licensed titles that have not yet been officially unveiled. Whether they are video games or redemption remains to be seen, but either way a lot of big names are being pulled out this year:

Speed Rider 4DX

For an example of the new games in there with information on it out there already, we have one that comes with a little bit of a surprise. Having first came to attention at the AAA and GTI 2025 shows in China, IGS and Baohui’s Speed Rider 4DX started to pop up on various regional distributors’ sites soon afterward, including Italy’s ELMAC II and the Middle East’s ASI. It recently seemed like Sega Amusements would be the ones carrying it for the rest of the West, but as it turns out, that only goes for the UK – because Bandai Namco are in fact exclusively selling the game over in North America.

As such, this will be available on their booth at IAAPA 2025, whilst Sega will have it at London’s EAG Expo in January next year accordingly. It’s not often that games are this ‘piecemeal’ in their distribution, especially when it involves differing major names like these, but it can happen, and does prove that this title is in high demand from the amount of players grabbing it on the market.

Simon Arcade

Speaking of Sega Amusements, we have another new game to cover in more detail, as following their reveal of Putt It! Par-Tee at the start of the week they have now also pulled back the curtain on Simon Arcade, a second new redemption creation from them. This is the first ever arcade adaption of Simon, building off their previous success with Hasbro on Bop It! Arcade, though as you can see, this interpretation of another of their memorization games does something a little different than that one:

This time, we have a twist on the ball toss redemption format, with Simon’s color match rules being integrated into where you toss the balls. Players have to get five matches in a row to win tickets, as well as aiming towards a Super Bonus; simple but effective redemption gameplay. It sounds like it’s already shaping up to be a hit too, as to quote Justin Burke in the press release, “Due to early demand, production is now underway to ensure operators worldwide can get their hands on this exciting new title”.

As already mentioned in the Putt It! Par-Tee coverage though, there is still even more to come from Sega, including a big racing game name in a brand new model… but hang tight just a little longer on that one.

Alan-1 & AVS Companies

As well as the above two new titles, Alan-1 have just unveiled their lineup in full (it was not fully covered in the Shaffer preview); though it does not contain any true new-new games, there is still plenty of interest. One surprise is that they have obtained the license for the electromechanical PONG tables first seen back in 2017 off UNIS and Atari, and are bringing them back into both the home and arcade markets. Currently, only the home version will be available, but locations will also have the chance to buy it again in due course.

Other games Alan-1 will have include Gravitar Recharged Pro, Dr Pepper Soda Slam!, Liquid Death Soda Slam! (another new SS variation), the new Butts On Things crane, and a merchandizer called Cosmic Spin (plus its own Butts On Things counterpart, Booty Spin).

AVS Companies’ booth (#1918) will additionally have Dr Pepper Soda Slam! and a larger version of the Butts On Things crane; they also issued a press release today covering everything that will be in their space. Like Alan-1, they will be packing quite a lot into a tight space:

[AVS] will have a full booth with games and attractions from Dark Escape Games, DSM Arcade, Alan-1, Incredible Technologies, Arachnid 360 and AtGames. The games to be featured include Clown Around and Pyramid Scheme from Dark Escape Games; Perfect Pour: Pabst Blue Ribbon Edition from DSM Arcade; a new, yet-to-be-announced title from Incredible Technologies; Dr Pepperâ„¢ Soda Slam! and Butts on Things Crane from Alan-1; the AtGames Legends Pinball 4KP TMNT Premium Deluxe; and the Arachnid 360 G3 Dartboard.

It is interesting and unusual for Incredible Technologies to introduce a new game through a distributor. IT did recently unveil a new cabinet model for Golden Tee PGA Tour, but this indicates it is something else entirely.

Chaos Code NEXT Now Shipping

We don’t have a confirmed list of exA’s IAAPA offerings yet, but for the time being, the company has begun shipping the sequel to Chaos Code EXA with Chaos Code NEXT. This fully arcade exclusive fighter is available by itself, or as a bundle of both games together at a great price.

More

Beyond the above, a few others have also started to reveal their product for IAAPA, including Team Play’s Ghostbusters Wheel. This was first mentioned and linked in a recent Newsbytes, when TP had given an early preview of it on test, but it is now being promoted more by the likes of Betson.

Leon Amusement and Yuto Games out of China additionally have videos up promoting their presence. The latter has a typo in the title for last year though… perhaps they’ve time travelled (or seen Adrenaline’s Back To The Future already).

Should any of the other new games mentioned in Shaffer’s preview be announced before the show starts up, we will cover them in detail as soon as possible. Once again, stay tuned to the Arcade Heroes website and our YouTube channel for more on what’s to come at IAAPA 2025, including that full pre-show rundown. What do you think of the new arcade games previewed today?
