We have a new model release to talk about today, as Kaiju Rampage Unite, the localization of Monster Eye 3 Unite by IGS and Wahlap, is now available from LAI Games, marking their second arcade release of this year following Ubisoft All-Star VR. Let’s take a look:
Kaiju Rampage Unite Is Now Available
Late last week, LAI Games dropped this news on their socials, although thanks to how all the algorithms work, I didn’t see it until after cutting a video about all the new releases (oh well). Either way, the upright four-player version of IGS/Wahlap’s Kaiju Rampage on rails shooting game should now be appearing on location at any venue that has ordered one from LAI very soon.
This was seen at IAAPA 2025, and has already been available in China for a little bit now. In a nutshell, the gameplay is slightly different from the environmental 2-Player version with mounted guns, but from what I saw it’s only due to the addition of two more players, and that you can easily point the gun around, since they aren’t mounted to the cabinet and are now tethered.
The game cabinet also now boasts a 75″ 4K screen to accommodate the additional players, which dwarfs the 49″ size monitor seen on the 2P environmental model. Besides the hardware, I am not aware of any significant content changes, but it’s always nice to have more options available – especially with a gun game.
Oddly enough, LAI still haven’t added this game to their website (although they haven’t updated said site to reflect that Ubisoft All-Star VR is shipping either, as its page says “Coming Soon” despite them announcing it was getting out there last week), but here’s a link to the sales flyer. Betson do have a page for the game on their official website as well.
It should be noted that LAI have currently halted business and shipping in North America due to the present extremely poor weather conditions, like several other arcade companies (e.g. Coastal), so I would expect a little delay in seeing this one due to that factor alone. But it will be coming here, as soon as the roads clear up anyhow.
Whether it will be in Europe is a different matter though – Sega Amusements do sell LAI Games’ product there, however Kaiju Rampage has so far been absent from that, and there has been no sign of anyone else picking it up. Europe is sometimes strange like that with distribution; it is possible that one or two will appear as direct imports at some point, but then sometimes they never see certain games.
What do you think of Kaiju Rampage Unite? Would you like to see this new cabinet model at an arcade near you?
