A short time ago, Raw Thrills had teased that they were producing a new Stranger Thing Arcade game. This was not at Amusement Expo 2026, but shortly after that tease, the game started appearing at Dave & Busters locations around North America. Now, Raw has fully unveiled the game, which can be pre-ordered from a preferred distributor now, with units shipping out this Summer. Let’s take a deeper look.
Stranger Things Arcade – Cabinet
The one thing that was immediately apparent when it came to this arcade rendition of Stranger Things is that the cabinet is huge. Now, we have the dimensions to back that up, with it being 118″ x 94″ x 104″ (HxWxD) in size. As was apparent as soon as these began showing up, they are ball toss games, a first for Raw Thrills, as opposed to something like a mounted shooter:

It uses an 86″ 4K monitor, and has start buttons/card reader spots for up to four players.
The Game
Here is the official description of the game:
Stranger Things Arcade™ is an electrifying new arcade game for 1-4 players from Raw Thrills, inspired by the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things. We are turning arcades upside down with this new arcade game. This family-friendly masterpiece invites players of all ages to battle Demogorgons, Demobats, Demodogs, and Vecna himself, in a high-energy, ball-throwing quest featuring the show’s iconic characters, locations, and haunting soundtrack. Engineered for maximum uptime, the cabinet boasts the proprietary Thrill-Scan™ ball sensing system for pinpoint accuracy. Hang out with the gang in Hawkins!
Then there is this slide from a sales presentation that was sent to distributors (used with permission here) to explain a little more detail about the gameplay. The game comes with 800 balls, but you only need 200 for it to work (the manual says only install 200; so keep the spares). Because it is a videmption game, it is designed for quick, high-action play:

You can also read the official press release here, just note that it’s talking about the game as shipping now, although it realistically won’t be arriving at locations who order until sometime this Summer.
Screenshots
Here are a few screenshots from the game itself. The four levels are all based on places in Hawkins, naturally, and I caught at least one Raw Thrills reference within these (there are probably more). These were sent in 4K resolution, but to save on server space, we’ve reduced their size down:

As it stands, I think we could technically call this one released, since orders are being accepted and often those who get in on things first happen to get their game early.
If you have played it already, what did you think about Stranger Things Arcade?
