Initial D 4 coming to PS3
Now I can only hope this comes out, outside of Japan because I haven’t seen much of Stage 4 in arcades over here (other than Trocadero). I guess I could always import it seeings as the PS3 is region-free. [via Soliconera] This summer Sega has Initial D: Extreme Stage as one of their Japanese »
Konami ATEi 2008 Impressions
(More photos after the break) Last of the big names is Konami. I have to say thier stand was a bit on the sparse side. Guitar Freaks & Drum Mania V4 where present and attracting a lot of attention from players. Wacky Races also made an appearance on the stand, although, as I have said »
Konami ATEi 2008 Videos: Wacky Races, Guitar Freaks V4 & Drummania V4
[Have now added Guitar Freaks & Drummania V4 videos submitted by You Tube user “bigaloo”] Guitar Freaks V4 Drummania V4 Wacky Races Now this one confused me. The game is made by Gamewax and Banpresto (Banpresto is owned by Namco, well that’s what I thought ?). However Wacky Races was on the Konami stand »
Location Test Video: Wacky Races
As promised….. I’ll have to apologize for the shakiness of the video. This is not down to me being on a bender last night, more to do with the fact that I was on my own so I had to play the game and film and not get caught doing so. Funland is a »
Segaworld Videos
Received a DVD today with a promo video and an independent video of the corporate hospitality available at the late Segaworld Trocadero, from our contact at Sega Amusements Europe, Justin Burke. These video are absolutely golden. It scares me how a video 10 years old looks so cheesy already. My favourite bit is the Sonic that looks like »
The Stinger Report – London Arcade Reviews
A great Stinger Report this week, I highly recommend you check it out, but here’s a few snippets to wet the appetite…. Trocadero, Piccadilly Circus The ex-SEGA World facility sits at one of the largest and busiest foot traffic locations in Europe. The site is a battleground of ambitious aspirations and poor business sense. »

Game of the Week….
Sonic’s first arcade outing was this strange isometric 3 player trackball controlled effort, players 2 and 3 were either Ray (an early versions of what would eventually become Tails) or Mighty (who would later appear in only 1 game Knuckles Chaotix) The early Prototype was shown as only a one player game with just »
The Inspiration of Manic Panic Ghost?
Saw this in the Trocadero last week, and it reminded me a lot of Sega’s Manic Panic Ghost. The game is called Critter Crusher which is also made by Sega, and is essentially a whack-a-mole redemption game but with a touch screen and a rubber mallet. It was good fun to play, but just reminded me »
Game of the Week….
Football Power I completely forgot about this game by Gaelco until I saw it the other day in the Trocadero. Now I know there’s quite a few footie games out there and the football kicking game mechanic is a bit gimmicky, but the reason I love this game so much is the game play itself. »
Let's go Jungle in the Wild
Another new machine in the arcades, at the Trocadero again. Probably one of my favourites just because you can’t beat an enclosed cabinet for the atmosphere that it creates. Hopefully more developers will follow suit and use this style of cabinet. For any one who hasn’t played it yet head over to Sega for more pictures and »
Alien Extermination DLX is out there!
So all those beautiful shiny machines that I got my hands on at the ATEI are gradually filtering thier way through in to the arcades. The first one I have spotted is Global VR’s Aliens Extermination DLX in the London Trocadero. Without the hustle and bustle of the trade show I was able to »
