BMI Gaming has posted a 4 minute video of Stern’s latest pin, The Rolling Stone to their Youtube channel, along with some comments on how the game plays. One comment made on the videos by BMI sums up how it plays pretty well:
…based on Stern’s “less than compelling” designs of late, we were prepared to be underwhelmed …, but after playing it for 15-20 mins, and assessing the overall build quality and that all-important “eye-candy” factor, we came away quite impressed…. Fun, flashy, great playfield details and music, featuring one of the all-time rock bands – It almost seemed as if this was a “tribute” piece, with some “love” injected into the design by Stern.
This is good news since it didn’t look all that impressive from the static screens we saw of the game a short time ago. Also, BMI is listing TRON pinball on their upcoming releases page, which seems more and more likely as we discussed not all that long ago. It seems reasonable since that fits into the theme of using blue EL wire in a game.
A well made pinball game can be alot of fun. But there are so many out there that you can get caught up with the generic, single table spam-a-thon. We had a crack at creating a pinball game called ‘Monster Pinball’ .
