We haven’t ran two many stories about new locations opening their doors in the same state in the same post although partially it was because one of these locations we did not hear about until now. Either way its good news for residents in Arizona.
First off is a pinball-centric location going by the name of D&D Pinball in Tucson, AZ. They are opening this week, giving pinball fans a reason to get out of the house to game. The D&D is not exactly because they are lovers of all-things Dungeons and Dragons but the Ds are for the business partners whose last names start with D. The location just opened yesterday and they will be open on the weekends throughout this month. After that it sounds like they will expand the hours, I imagine that will depend upon local demand. They have a selection of 30 pinball machines to play including: Addams Family, Doctor Who, Black Knight, Twilight Zone, Theatre of Magic, Pin-Bot, Medieval Madness, Star Trek, Stargate, X-Men and more. The building itself has a rustic theme going for it Visit their main website here or find them on Facebook.
Next up is an FEC in Gilbert, AZ by the name of Flipside. They actually opened at the beginning of 2013 but we are only hearing about it now as quite often finding out about new locations is a matter of luck and stumbling across the news. In this case Kevin Williams of The Stinger Report found a news article published this week about it and sent it our way. Anyways, to fill out the FEC offerings, Flipside has a number of departments including bowling & mini-bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, a laser maze, a café, coffee, pool and of course an arcade. The arcade itself they call Fliptopia, they have 57 titles and you can take a cool virtual tour of the facility on Google which allowed me to see some of the video content they have. Most of the arcade is redemption but for video-only they have DDR Supernova, 2x Fast & Furious SuperCars 42″, 2x H2Overdrive 32″, 2x Super Bikes 2, Guitar Hero Arcade, Deadstorm Pirates Upright and Terminator Salvation Fixed Guns and a few others. They also have a couple of air hockey tables and some skeeball units. Overall the facility looks quite nice; you can visit their website here or check out their Facebook page.
As always, we wish the best of luck to these facilities and if you live anywhere near them, go in and check them out!
