EVO 2026 is underway in Las Vegas, NV, and as we’re starting to expect, there is some arcade news coming out of the event. As before, this involves exA-Arcadia, who is the only company producing 1v1 fighting games for the commercial arcade space. exA had a strong showing at EVO Japan 2026 a couple of months back, and now they have unveiled a new fighter in Vegas, with Invincible VS. Let’s take a look:
Invincible VS In Arcades
For those unfamiliar with Invincible, it’s an adult animation series available on Amazon Prime, falling into the superhero category, but the adult part comes in showing things like blood and characters getting killed, instead of just being thrown in jail only to get out again.
The arcade version is based upon the game that was released back in April this year, but there are no details to provide on it aside from what is available at EVO currently. The Steam page states:
“Invincible VS is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe, where you can battle to the death as a team of fan-favorite characters in iconic locations.”
I would expect any elements found in the console versions (such as dialogue heavy scenes and points where you can just hang out without a timer at play) will be removed in favor of keeping things clean and snappy, as they’ve done with their other titles as there are certain requirements for the arcade.
It is also likely that the exA version will include all of the DLC, as they did with Hunter X Hunter: Nen Impact, but we’ll have to wait for a full confirmation to be sure.

The game can be found at the Voodoo Ranger booth at EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, as you can see here. exA also has several other games to enjoy at EVO 2026, including AVATAR Legends and The King of Fighters ’98.

Micro-State Of The Industry
While we’re here, let’s take a quick look at a topic that is relevant to this game and exA at large. So far, the market for new arcade video games has been fairly slow since Amusement Expo in March. Some of the games out there have been delayed due to sea freight issues, while most have come out of another round of inflative costs (crucial PC components & plastics have all gone up, often skyrocketing). As such, there are several games we’re sitting on, waiting for word that they have begun shipping, but for various reasons we’re having to hold.
Up until this year, exA themselves had been releasing new games almost every month; as of this writing, they haven’t launched any since Asuka 120% last December. They do have this, AVATAR Legends: The Fighting Game, and G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra all promising to ship out some time this summer though, so we’ll hope to see it land before school starts up again. But as we saw from the price changes on their site not long ago, the component price crisis is likely to blame here.
I do think that Invincible VS is another great addition to the library, and exA is definitely leaning more into big licenses. Licensors can cause their own delays though, depending on how involved they are in a game’s development. On location though, I do imagine that something like this or AVATAR will stop people in their tracks – the games have a name people recognize, and graphically they’re on-par with what you expect to find on the modern stack of consoles. I may pick this up, or AVATAR (haven’t decided yet).
For now, what are you interested in for upcoming fighters? What do you think of Invincible VS, from the little shown about it so far?
