Sega Amusements USA releases GRID Deluxe

First revealed at the London EAG Expo, Sega Amusements USA has announced today that the deluxe version of their arcade racing title GRID is now available in North America. The most obvious item to set this apart from it’s standard cousin, a 55″ High-Res LCD monitor. Otherwise the software, cabinet lighting, controls and sound are the same. There are two videos I have found for it, one was provided by Sega in the release and serves as a promotional video for it and the other is from our friends over at BMI Gaming who just posted a video of this being played at EAG:

All I know is a custom PC board made just for this. Probably close to the Europa in terms of power but it’s not the Europa

Thanks RJay, you wouldn’t happen to know the specs on it by chance?

The graphics are pretty nice on this. A touch bland in places perhaps. Framerates only 30 and feels like it dips a bit below that in places. Handling model is good though. If you pick the expert cars you get more simulationish handling in that it’s quite easy to spin if you’re not careful. Last thing i liked about this is if your good you get 8 or 10 minutes out of a credit.
