Halloween is less than a week from now and among the related activities some arcades are throwing a celebration. I haven’t been able to find out many venues that are holding a special event so if you know of one we won’t be posting here, please let me know and I’ll add it to the post. For now we have:
–Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR is holding a “Giga-Fright” party this Friday Oct. 28th. Facebook event page here. Web poster for the event below.
–Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL is having a weekend long Halloween event, with tournaments and a costume party, details are here.
–Klassic Arcade in Gobles, MI is holding a Halloween event this Friday the 28th as well with a costume party. They also unveiled a new soda flavor not long ago, Maple Creme which I would like to try. Details.
-My own arcade The Game Grid Arcade in West Valley City, UT has the mall-wide Trick-Or-Treat event (we usually give out better candies than the other stores there 😀 ) and we also will be holding a 1cc high score tournament on House of the Dead 4. Details on Facebook.
UPDATE: Gemini Arcade Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada is throwing a Halloween Lock-In on Friday October 28, it starts at 8 pm – 8 am just pay $10 and you get to play all the game for free. Details on Facebook.
-STIX Billiards and Arcade is holding a Freeplay event Monday, 6pm-2am. “$10 gets you unlimited games AND billiards. TVs will be set up for console gaming too. And as always we are BYOB so feel free to have some fun!” Details on Facebook
I know that isn’t much to pick from so far but again, I haven’t been able to find out if anyone else is holding an event of some kind so if you know of one, please let me know.

Jon over at KLOV forums always opens up his garage during Halloween. It’s located in near San Francisco and he has 28 classics and 2 pins.

Some of the more noteable games include Joust 2, Major Havoc, I-Robot, Quantum and Inferno. Please note that this is a private residence so please respect his property as well making sure not to disturb the neighbors.
