Alien Pinball has long been known to be the second title for UK based company Heighway Pinball. We’ve been following updates on it for a while now and news had not been abundant about the game – until this week. As we have found out from some social media posts and the following video, the game is in full production at the moment. Per this Facebook post:
We are running a few weeks behind schedule but expect to be shipping Standard Edition games at the beginning of January 2017 and Limited Edition games by late January 2017
That Facebook post also shows more photos but even better is seeing it in motion. Here is the aforementioned video so you can see the process in action. It’s always fascinating to watch how complicated entertainment devices like these come together:
Here are those Alien production photos via Twitter if Facebook isn’t your thing:
Production is well underway with Alien Pinball. A few small delays but first games are due to ship at the beginning of January 2017 pic.twitter.com/gxsck1tPTY

The company also released a video that teases the special “Find Jonesy” mode, based on the search for Ripley’s cat from the first movie. Heighway stated that this video does “not reveal the true depth of this mode.”
With this release the company will also be able to sell kits for their modular pinball cabinet design that was introduced with Full Throttle. It should be interesting to see how that pans out in practice. It also would be great to see this one show up at Amusement Expo 2017 in Dallas, TX; an appearance at EAG 2017 in London next month seems to be a sure fire thing since that is in Heighway’s backyard and it would serve as a proper launch pad for the game.
What do you think about Alien Pinball so far from what we have seen?
