As you may remember I visited the Skylon Tower Family Fun Center Arcade (Also known as Skyquest) last year. I had a chance to visit 2 more times since then so I thought I would give everyone some updates on the games there and show some of the other games that were not shown in the previous post. The Skylon Tower Family Fun center has many unique and rare games all playable to the public.
When you come down the escalator entrance the first thing you see is the classic Bowlingo Bowling Lanes.
I did find the Super Monaco GP in working condition but I had to ask a staff member to turn it on. This game does work but they do not keep it turned on all the time because its a pretty fragile and older game. If you want to play it I suggest asking a staff member to turn it on for you if its not turned on (might want to turn down your sound if you plan to watch the video!)
I filmed this video of the game in working condition on a previous visit. This game gets very loud due to the air compressor inside the game, in this video you can see how loud the game gets.
Sega Super GT was found in working condition.
Sega 18 Wheeler was also found in working condition with a newly installed LCD screen.
I love this corner with G-LOC and Hang-On, both of these games are in good working condition.
Galaxy Force is still here and running perfectly.
On a previous visit to the Skylon Tower I filmed this video of myself playing the Galaxy Force, you can view that here:
Now I will showcase some of the more unique redemption games still in operation at the Skylon.
Simple Simon Redemption game by Sammy, 1993. I have never seen this game anywhere else, very unique.
Stock Car Challenge was a fun and interesting one.
Some nice Skee Ball variations
Boom Ball is an awesome classic that I hardly see anywhere else, very happy this one is still here.
An arcade isn’t complete without some nice classic Skee ball’s.
Finally this very large basketball game and classic Hoop Shot machines round out the redemption game classics at this arcade.
As you can see from my last visit some things have been fixed that were not working before, so it seems this arcade is picking up, there were a couple down machines, but you find that at every arcade and the majority of the games were in working order. I had a great time at the arcade this past week as they have a lot of fun and interesting games here.
Stay tuned as I will have more on the Skylon Tower Family Fun Center in the near future.
I think if I’m not mistaken, there is a Feed Big Bertha game there. If you do come across it, can you please take a picture of it?
I have your pictures of big bertha however I couldn’t get them to post to the article for some reason, I can see your email so I will send them to you there.
Ugh! Please tell them that G-Loc and Hang-On are too close together. That’s an easy way to get a kid’s skull crushed. 🙁
I would recognize that 18 wheeler anywhere. I did the TV upgrade to it when it was a tech at Dave and Busters in Vaughan ON. Down by the power cord there is a big chunk taken out of the cabinet when we propped it up with a pallet jack to move it during a carpet renovation in the building.
