The latest product announcement debuting at IAAPA 2022 comes from one of our advertisers, Touch Magix. They have a new crane machine featuring their Carnival Cups theme that will be there, and it promises to bring some innovation to the industry. The press release doesn’t make clear what that is however, so we’ll have to wait until the show to see what it is exactly.
They will also have a new marquee which links their two videmption games, Mega Blaster and SpaceWarp 66, together, allowing for linked play. Linked play for SpaceWarp was made available in the summertime, although this mentioned marquee will be new. I wonder how it has possibly helped the game on earnings – I have a single unit although it is set to amusement only play instead of ticket redemption. It does fairly well for a single-player game at its price point, especially when groups begin to compete on it.
