IAAPA is here again, which means it is high time to see the new arcade games that will be hitting the scene in 2025. The sheer size of the show and its amount of exhibitors is a little overwhelming, but hopefully this preview and guide will help you navigate the news.
If you’re new here, IAAPA Expo is the largest tradeshow held by the amusement industry, but it is much more expansive than just arcades. In fact, while there’s a nice section of the show floor dedicated to what used to be called Coin-Op (now the “Games and Arcade Pavilion”), a vast majority of the Orange County Convention Center features other kinds of exhibitors, including inflatables, theme park rides, related industry technology, and more. Still, even with this example long gone now, the closest thing I can compare it to in terms of video games is E3 (may that rest in peace) – whilst others prefer to say it’s the “Superbowl of the industry”. Whichever you go with, IAAPA is a huge show with a ton of new products to consider.
The show will be held November 18th-22nd in Orlando, FL. The trade expo portion of it all opens on the 19th (first day is for educational seminars and show setup). For anyone headed there for the first time, it’s wise to have some good, broken in walking shoes and to get into the walking practice beforehand. There is an awful lot to see and do while there, so much so that even four days isn’t really enough.
Tomorrow I will hold a livestream on YouTube that will go over what you see here, but give you a chance to interact with others and ask questions. Also, since we’re not getting super detailed on the others beyond the advertisers, the livestream will allow for some extra detail in that regard.
Apologies if we’ve missed anything or any one here – Ted and myself have done a lot of research to get it right and reached out to many reps at the different companies. Sometimes there are unforeseen changes (such as a shipment delay or damage while unloading), but also note that we’re focused on video arcade/videmption/pinball. Don’t worry, there are some redemption mentions for fans of that genre; VR acolytes, there’s a section for you as well, just note it’s at the bottom of the post.
Advertisers/Sponsors
As a thanks to their support of the site, let’s begin with a focus on Arcade Heroes’ advertisers & sponsors. We will also give them a little more detail than the others below. Be sure to stay tuned to Arcade Heroes’ social media, particularly YouTube, for updates over the next several weeks.
Raw Thrills
The main selection of Raw Thrills’ product will be found at the Betson booths, #515, 615, 818. Some will be on the Bandai Namco Amusement booth (noted below) too, due to how Bandai Namco Amusement Europe is set up as a distributor for other companies as opposed to the American division being mostly just the former.
As first mentioned on the blog back in September, the company has recently begun shipping out their Angry Birds Boom! videmption game. That will get its US industry debut here, after being unveiled back at IAAPA Expo Europe.
In terms of actual video games though, there will be the new 2-Player tethered version of Halo: Fireteam Raven, as discussed the other day.
As mentioned in this story from the other day, Raw Thrills is also going to launch the complete five chapter version of Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR at this show. If you happen to own one, contact your distributor and they can get the free upgrade kit for you (although I think it starts shipping after IAAPA). I wouldn’t complain if Godzilla did show up in a more affordable non-VR option, but I don’t think that is happening.
On top of that NBA Superstars is getting an updated software package (for “faster & more exciting” gameplay), along with Marvel Contest of Champions. The latter is also receiving a new piece of cabinet art/marquee, to reflect Deadpool Vs. Wolverine.
Confirmed games:
- Angry Birds Boom!
- Halo: Fireteam Raven (2-Player tethered)
- Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR (All chapters)
- NBA Superstars
- Marvel: Contest of Champions
- Fast & Furious Arcade
- Minecraft Dungeons Arcade
- Big Buck Hunter Reloaded
Wahlap
Wahlap normally has a variety of games spread across different companies, although they do have their own space at IAAPA as usual, where you’ll find them at booth #210. Their official previews have said they will most significantly have Monster Eye 3 in its original form, with the version going out to most Western locations from LAI Games, Kaiju Rampage, over at their own booth (more on that later).
Confirmed games:
- Monster Eye 3
- Asphalt Moto Blitz DX
- Asphalt 9 Legends DX
- Prize Popper
- Thunderbolt Shot
TouchMagix
TouchMagix are going to bring their usual variety of redemption, videmption, and other pieces along to booth #1640. Their main new product launch here will be Minions BullsEye Mania, an interactive darts throwing game based on that license. They will also have all their mainstay pieces from the past few years, including Pop It and SpaceWarp.
Confirmed games:
- Minions BullsEye Mania
- Crazy Prize
- Pudgy Penguins Polar Challenge
- Mega Blaster
- POP IT!
- SpaceWarp 66 DX
- Carnival Cups Crane
Alan-1
While this company is not advertising on the site, I have been doing a bit of consultancy for them – it helps that they are local. This is the first IAAPA where they have a booth (#3902). They are bringing their two principal games:
- Asteroids Recharged (a 2-player and 3-player)
- Avian Knights (a 2-player)
They were looking at revealing an arcade version of Gravitar Recharged, but that will be pushed back to just focus on those two games and their latest models (expect to see it at Amusement Expo 2025). A 3-player DX model of Asteroids will be located at their booth, as well as over at AVS Companies.
IAAPA 2024 – Everyone Else
Now onto the rest at IAAPA 2024, in alphabetical order and starting with arcade focused companies. VR is located after that.
Ace Amusement
Booth #440. As a prevalent developer of various titles that have been carried by several of the companies below, Ace is making quite the name for themselves by having their own booth. They were at IAAPA last year, although it was a bit cramped with machines. This year they should have more, and a few of the games will not be anywhere else. Confirmed games:
- Skull of Shadow
- Fast Racing
- Rush & Catch
Adrenaline Amusements
Adrenaline Amusements can be found at booth #1341. Alongside games from Raw Thrills, their works will also be on hand at the Bandai Namco Amusement booth, thanks to how BNAE are set up. Their biggest new reveal can be seen below: Duck Derby: Pump ‘N Race, a massive videmption-infused take on the classic carnival-style water pump game, though there should additionally be the ‘smaller’ model of Drakons: Realm Keepers using an 80″ flatscreen monitor instead of the 100″ LED board…
Confirmed games:
- Duck Derby
- Drakons Realm Keepers
- NFS Heat Takedown
Amega Entertainment/Blue Motion Games
Booth #5819. I have not seen any release on what Amega is bringing to the show, and normally we’d put them down in the simulator section, but in teaming up with Blue Motion Games, there is a possibility that we’ll see the new FEC/arcade game that Blue Motion will be debuting. It hasn’t been announced what that game is quite yet, but I did see a preview of it in private.
Otherwise I would expect Amega to be showcasing their E-Racing Container, a heavily modified shipping container that “includes 4 2DOF moving VR Rally simulators, monitoring screens, cafe-bar and seating area in a single container” that was at the show last year, and Blue Motion had been mentioning a Formula S simulator game that they would be selling into the US on Amega’s behalf.
American Pinball
American Pinball are going to be around at booth #1834. Given that they did not unveil anything new at Pinball Expo, I wouldn’t expect to see anything of the sort here. That said, several years ago they did unveil a huge ticket redemption game at IAAPA – although it was never released. Confirmed games:
- Barry O’s BBQ Challenge
- Galactic Tank Force
- Legends of Valhalla
Amusement Source International
Amusement Source International will be pitching up at booth #2437. Last year they had packed over a dozen titles into a small booth space, whereas this year they’ve expanded to a 30×30′ square. They will have a lot of redemption/videmption this year, with Skull of Shadow (Ace Amusement’s Deadstorm Pirates-like game) headlining the video side of things. They will be selling all three versions of that, but the stand-up tethered 4-Player cabinet pictured below is going to be the only one at IAAPA.
Here’s a video of Skull of Shadow.
Besides that, this is what their confirmed line-up is looking like:
- Rolly Carnival
- Play A Ball (merchandizer)
- Egg Mania
- Infinity Roll
- Clown Ball
- Happy Mania
- A cellphone case vending/printing machine
Andamiro USA
Andamiro USA are available to visit at booth #1800. They remain strongly focused on redemption pieces, demonstrated by their new Star Wars pusher. Games confirmed to be on hand:
- Crazy Toy Jr.
- Pump It Up Phoenix 2024
- SpongeBob Squarepants VR Bubble Coaster w/ new Ghost Coaster ride
- Spider-Man (single pusher model)
- Star Wars (coin pusher)
- Talking Tom (whacker)
AVS Companies
I don’t usually do distributors, but when I am aware of some new product that will only be found at their booth, I think they are worth mentioning. This is the case with more than one distro at IAAPA this time, including AVS, who last year was the only place to find an exA-Arcadia machine and a VR system.
This year, they will showcase a 3-player Asteroids Recharged DX by Alan-1, and they will be the only place to find Kung Fu Panda: The Warrior’s Gauntlet VR system seen below by newcomers Night Heron Entertainment. Interestingly enough, both companies are based out of Utah (AVS itself is based out of IL). You can find them with these games at booth #1617.
Bandai Namco Amusements
Bandai Namco Amusements are taking up booths #1300 & 1600. Because this also involves their European arm (which as mentioned distributes more than just Namco products in Europe) as well as the American one, they will additionally have flagship products from Adrenaline Amusements and Raw Thrills among other companies there.
Without wanting to overdo it, BNA’s own product line-up has looked like it could be one of the most exciting for a little while now. When it went back on test last month we were able to confirm that GoldStorm Pirates would finally be making its official US industry debut at the show after many months in testing, and alongside it, the official USA launch of Taiko No Tatsujin will also be happening at long last. These two games have been highly anticipated by some arcade fans for well over a year now, and will undoubtedly grab a good chunk of the attention here.
Whilst GoldStorm and Taiko should certainly spearhead things, alongside their usual stable of redemption and some existing titles (e.g. the Taiko and Wani Wani Panic kiddie rides we recently saw at the Chinese expos), there could still be one or two surprises in store from Bamco. We reported on a couple other new titles of theirs that went on test some months ago (Bike Dash Delivery and Jump Racer), and whilst it’s not clear if those are still on track for release or appearance here, perhaps one – or even an altogether previously unseen piece – will turn up here unannounced. Place your Bandai Namco bets now…
Confirmed games:
- GoldStorm Pirates
- Taiko No Tatsujin (USA Version)
- Taiko No Tatsujin Kiddie Ride
- Wani Wani Panic Kiddie Ride
- Animal Kaiser Plus
- Looney Tunes Red Zone Rush
- Tom & Jerry Kitchen Chaos
- Pac-Man Roller
- Jumpin’ Jupiter
- Tower Island
Bay Tek Entertainment
Bay Tek will be sprawling across two booths this time, #1015 & #1024. They don’t often unveil what their line-up will be, but aside from one reveal in RePlay Magazine and a document I saw from Betson, here are their confirmed games:
- ICEE Slush Rush
- SpongeBob Squarepants Dynamic Duo VR
- Goatz ‘N Ropes [Single player model]
- Toilet Bowl Toss
- Big Bass Wheel
- A few Skeeball games
We haven’t seen QB Throwdown that had made some waves last year, so my guess is that it got shelved; also there was the Battleship Bounce seen on test, but that wasn’t mentioned in the docs I saw. It could be there, but also might not have made the cut.
Coastal Amusements
Coastal Amusements has the same booth space as last year, #1315, which at 30×80′ gives them a ton of space for showing off new games, typically those out of Ace Amusement. For those, they have got Wave Riders X-Treme this year, which was spotted on test a couple months back and has already been released in Europe. They both tend to focus on videmption and prize redemption pieces, although the videmption titles do have amusement-only modes. Their confirmed line-up is:
- Wave Riders X-Treme
- Claw Frenzy (crane)
- Double Play (crane)
- Level Up (redemption)
- Tilt A Wheel (videmption)
- Break The Plate (budget version)
- Jumpin Space
- Wild Things 2-Player
DOF Robotics
I wasn’t planning on mentioning DOF Robotics in this preview, as they usually produce equipment that is impractical for most venues aside from theme parks and larger FECs. As revealed earlier however, they will debut a new arcade racing game by the name of Angry Birds: Fury Road.
Aside from the Supernova simulator, they are introducing an AI-powered queuing system called AIQ at the show. I’ll let this page from the flyer describe what it does:
Elaut USA
Elaut will be available up at booths #2215 & #2221. Their confirmed line-up includes product from Benchmark Games and Coast-to-Coast Entertainment:
- Baby Bear (crane)
- Popeye Boxer
- Popeye Dizzy Divers (pusher)
- Slap Shot (air hockey)
- Superman Worlds United (redemption)
- The Smurfs (pusher & crane)
exA-Arcadia
Back in 2022, exA had a nice booth space setup next to Betson/Raw Thrills and across from Stern Pinball. Last year however, they were unable to have a booth due to a spacing conflict of some kind. This time, that has been resolved and they will have a space of their own, now possibly with the ARC-32 cabinet design.
Find them over at #238 where they will be showcasing:
- Jitsu Squad Feat. the Samurai Pizza Cats
- Fixeight EXA Label
- Wild Guns Rawhide
- Cyberblocker R
- Earthion EXA Label
- Batsugun EXA Label Ver 1.5
- Demon Front EXA Label
- Airgallet EXA Label
- Asuka 120% Burning Fest EXALLENT
- Daemon Bride exAgain
- Bunny Bomber Blast!
- Omen of Sorrows: Arising Chaos
- Phantom Breaker Omnia
- Breakers Revenge Chicago
- Daybreak Slam
- Other older titles
Note that they will also be showing off their new trackball controllers AND there are two other games which have not been announced yet but will be available for private showings. One is another EXA Label, while the other is a beat’em up with a well-known license.
Gesture Art & Design
You might recall this company made their debut last year, with a videmption game design called Food Flight. It has been quietly testing out in California this year, and now they are coming back to this IAAPA and with a booth in the Games Pavilion instead of out in the boonies of the first-time exhibitor area. Find them at booth #1717:
ICE
ICE have their stand at booths #1606 & 1806. There was no preview of their games in RePlay Magazine and I’ve heard nothing on their socials. Fortunately, Betson was able to provide this list of new games that you can find there:
- Neon Bowling (we posted about this on test a little while ago)
- Smash ‘N Win
- Stop The Drop
- Yeti Go!
- Double Dribble
- Quarterback Pro
- World Football Pro
IGPM/Kalkomat
Kalkomat is a long-time Polish manufacturer who specializes in boxing machine design, with IGPM serving as their contact point for sales in North America. They will have a big line-up of boxers as usual, showing off their newest Kaboom design, the Power Slap game that debuted last year, and several other company staples. I wonder if Power Slap has changed at all…it does seem like you should be slapping the bag sideways as opposed to straight on…
Jersey Jack Pinball
Already out since September, the main focus for Jersey Jack here at booth #809 will of course be Avatar. I would expect a similar, but drastically reduced in size, booth to what they had at Pinball Expo. Perhaps this time I’ll get a chance to actually play Avatar though:
JET Games
JET are making their presence felt at booth #1027 this year, although if they have anything new-new, they’ve been quiet about it. Last year they debuted Mega Shot, which was one of the most talked about games of the show. That should be there, along with their titles like Big Shot, Jet Darts, and Quick Toss.
LAI Games
LAI Games are taking up a surprisingly large amount of space at booths #200, #400, and #603, all right next to each other. This is much more than they have ever had before, which initially suggested bringing about out a big salvo of new games. That was confirmed over a few weeks of reveals, which included Kaiju Rampage, their version of Monster Eye 3 from Wahlap and IGS.
Could they have any surprises? One mysterious new shooting game using mixed reality projection map technology and a unknown big IP was mentioned in the last RePlay Magazine – that should be around as a early pre-release demo here. New games from the likes of Ace Amusement and Superwing out of China might also be on the cards, as LAI have distributed for them before. Ace in particular have made a lot more new games than just Skull Of Shadow, which as mentioned previously was nabbed by ASI, so perhaps one of those might make its debut here.
Or the rest of their space will simply be taking up by existing games like Asphalt – there is already one of those slightly, with another Playmore pusher (Cosmic Tower, originally revealed and released around last IAAPA) returning here but with different branding as Mount Shabang.
Confirmed games:
- Kaiju Rampage
- Tornado (pusher)
- Galaxy Hunter (videmption pusher)
- Lost Pirate (redemption)
- Mount Shabang (pusher)
MonkeySplash Studios
As covered recently by us, this newcomer will be coming all the way from Sydney, Australia to booth #811. Here they will be showcasing their first ever arcade game, Chef It Up, which was on test last month at Dave & Busters Orlando.
Player One Amusement Group
Player One at booth #631 will be showing off a new wrestling redemption game created by Premier Arcade Games. I hadn’t heard of this New York based developer before, as they focus on redemption games and I don’t always pay a lot of attention to those. They will be making a big push with a new, as-yet-unnamed redemption game that uses a wrestling license, where several pro wrestlers will be on hand for autographs, including Hulk Hogan.
PLAYMIND
PLAYMIND is bringing the ball toss fun to booth #829. Confirmed products from them include their flagship PLAYBOX, both in four and two player forms with their portfolio of software for it. The 2-player models have been redesigned, as you can see from this promo they sent out the other day:
PrimeTime Amusements
PrimeTime is another distributor that will be the exclusive exhibitor for a few different games, including Step ManiaX (Step Revolution), Killer Queen Arcade (BumbleBear Games), and the new pay-to-play version of Subsoccer Arcade. Find them at booth #804 between LAI Games and Apple Industries.
Really Big Crane Co.
Really Big Crane will be at booth #102. It will be mainly focused on cranes, although it’s still worth checking in to see if they happen to have anything that will follow-up Zombie Jam – decidedly not a crane game. I was told that Zombie Jam will have new software, which has changed several times over the years, although why this game is sticking with a crane company and not jumping over to someone else, I don’t know.
Sega Amusements
As last year, Sega Amusements can be found at booth #1006, with their biggest trade show stand of the whole season (the others are usually smaller). Traditionally they have always used IAAPA to debut new products after location testing them in the prior few months, and this year looks like no exception – of the Sega ones we know about, there may yet be their new enclosed model of Mission: Impossible Arcade, and the videmption pusher piece Balloon Circus from Japan, as well as these confirmed existing games that have been either announced or distributed by SAI already:
- Apex Rebels
- Zombies! Ready, Deady, Go!
- Big Sea Fishing (Videmption fishing game)
- On Target (Electro-Mechanical shooting game)
- Allstars Ultimate Disc
- Allstars Air Hockey
- High Five
- Win Fall Revolution (1P/2P/4-Player)
And as recently announced (after being revealed by us first on location test), their latest collaboration with 3MindWave, Alpha Ops VR Strike, should be making its industry debut here. That one will make for more VR representation besides what Raw Thrills are going to have.
To speculate a bit on what else might be there though, perhaps their UK R&D team in Cardiff, Wales has been up to something… though that and some of the aforementioned unannounced titles may be revealed at EAG in January instead, as it sounds like they will have a big presence there too.
Smart Industries
Smart Industries will be around at #424. Last time at IAAPA they unveiled JJ Bot: The Avatar, which though a very attention-grabbing piece hasn’t had as much buzz around it since then (possibly due to the very high price tag). Nonetheless, that should be there again this year.
Stern Pinball
Stern can be located at booth #815, the same as last year, and like JJP above, they’ll have a much smaller booth compared to Pinball Expo, but with a game mix focused on their latest releases:
- Metallica Remastered
- The Uncanny X-MEN
- John Wick
- JAWS
Team Play Inc.
Team Play are setting up shop at #1700 this time, with this show hopefully making up for the disaster that Amusement Expo was for them earlier this year (for those unaware, their truck crashed in transit and they couldn’t exhibit). Confirmed games:
- Pixel Pix Gen 4 Deluxe (photo booth)
- Photo Motion (kiddie ride)
- Carnival Wheel (redemption)
Tecway
Besides LAI going large, the other main surprise we already know about from the exhibitor list and layout is the presence of Taiwan’s Tecway at booth #600. They have appeared at IAAPA in the past, but never been all that consistent with it – so their attendance here again is interesting. We saw a few things from them at other recent expos too; in China, they exhibited Bandai Namco’s Gator Panic kiddie ride and a futuristic motorbike game at AAA and GTI, whilst at IAAPA Europe, Italy’s ELMAC II had a multiplayer kiddie racing game from them. Maybe those will appear here?
Triotech
Triotech are at booths #1359, 1361 and 1658. They will be promoting a lot of their large scale attractions, such as their recent dark ride coasters, and their new Superfly attraction. For their smaller scale stuff, there is:
- Super Blaster
- Qube
- Storm VR
They will have a press event, but I’m not sure if they will be introducing anything along the lines of what’s on the bullet list above, I believe it is something along the lines for theme parks.
UNICO USA
UNICO USA has a small IAAPA presence at booth #5627. This is on the other side of the convention center from the Arcade & Games Pavilion, closer to the rides. I will make sure to stop by and check them and their Nova Blast cabinet out this time (which I missed last year)
UNIS
Celebrating 30 years in the business, China and Canada-based UNIS will be at booths #1332 and #1636. In line with that they have a whole bunch of new releases; though a lot of these are redemption, including their high-profile emoji range concept, we will be seeing most of their new video game efforts that were debuted at the GTI Asia China Expo a few months back. These include Neon Rush (pictured below), Dino Storm, and Monster Kart.
Confirmed games:
- Neon Rush
- Bigfoot Smash
- Dino Storm
- Monster Kart
- Sailor’s Quest VR 2
- Carnival Shot
- Quack King
- All About Tickets
- Toy Box (crane)
- Toy Box Capsule (capsule crane)
- Capsule Station (capsule vendor)
- emoji Range (pushers, cranes)
Valley-Dynamo
Valley-Dynamo are coming along to booth #624. They will have their regular lineup of air hockey, pool and foosball tables for the social-tainment scene. Confirmed games:
- Valley Panther ZD-11
- Dynamo Cosmic Thunder
- Dynamo Fire Storm
- Tornado T3000
Zooom Studios
Finally, to check out Zooom Studios zip to booth #262. This company has been around for a couple years now, but are still comparative newcomers. They recently bought up Barron Games, who will have a couple new works alongside Zooom’s own lineup. Confirmed games:
- AstroLOLogy (licenced pusher)
- The Depot Line (cranes)
- Open Ice Quad Air
- Monster Prize
- Space Race
- Prize Bus
IAAPA 2024 – AR/MXR/VR/Simulator Providers
Here are companies at IAAPA 2024 that don’t focus on arcade video games, but higher cost & size items. These tend to be attractions and they can be quite impressive – but they aren’t really for anything other than FECs and theme parks. That doesn’t mean that an arcade or route can’t find anything among these companies that fits with their space & budget requirements, but it is far less likely.
Amusement Products LLC
Booth #4669, 4869. This company deals with go-karts and some different systems dealing with that; last year they had the VEX Solutions Free-Roam VR system (with the Adventure and the Arena). I haven’t seen any other
Ballast VR
Booth #7350. If you want to see the latest in waterpark/waterslide VR solutions, check these guys out.
Breeze Creative
Booth #6009. I think I had come across this company before, I just didn’t catch the name at the time. They deal with MXR projection mapping products, such as the Animated Sandbox, dynamic tables and floors.
Creative Works
Booths #2871 & #3072. They have been active in sending email updates, but I have only seen one mention of a product launching at IAAPA: Lucky Putt Bar Games. Otherwise they might Limitless VR and the VAR Box there, I’m just not 100% certain about that.
Hero Zone VR
Booth #457 – This free roam VR arena will debut a mobile set up along with a new game called Wizard Academy. From the press release sent out about it:
Wizard Academy is a thrilling blend of magical mystery, puzzle-solving, and exploration,
bringing players into an immersive magical world. The game invites up to 6 players to
step into wizard robes as students racing against time to complete their final magical
exam. In this fun, cooperative puzzle game, each player works through a series of
mystical tasks, casting spells, collecting artifacts, and uncovering secrets to prove their
prowess before time runs out. Each task poses different challenges, such as brewing a
potion of invisibility, and the academy is home to eccentric characters who may help
along the way, including Edgar the Cat, the headmaster’s personal assistant. He might
drop a hint about a task or lead players to a hidden object…if he’s in the right mood.Wizard Academy was developed in-house by the Hero Zone team and will be added as
game number nine of the growing catalog of free-roam VR game titles offered to Hero
Zone locations.
Here’s their mobile set up, as far as how it can transport:
Hologate
Booth #4458 – After becoming the dominant force among wired VR arenas, Hologate will introduce their wireless ARENA INFINITE solution, thus putting them in a position to compete with the likes of Hero Zone VR above. It looks like it is compatible with their existing games, so it will be able to start off with a nice library.
Holovis
Booth #573, 1868 – This company has a lot of theme park style attractions where they produce content and I think the hardware behind them as well. They have two booths that are not close to each other, and I’m not sure if they’ll have any products to demonstrate. Sometimes, companies that deal with medium or large scale attractions don’t have the products around, just booths to solicit some new clients.
Ideas Extremas
Booth #3609 – This developer of ropes courses will introduce their own VR Arena… although I don’t know if that entails a VR ropes course (I doubt it, that would be a bad idea)
Immotion
Booth #1374 – This company is focused on creating education VR experiences for venues like museums, zoos and other amusement-adjacent locations. Visit their website here.
INOWIZE
Booth #3874 – Inowize will be back with their QBIX immersive game room, now sporting six games. I’ve made a few videos about this over the past couple of years, but here’s a new explainer video that they put out which covers it well. I’m not aware of any other products that they might have there, since they seem to be gaining some great traction with this.
MaxFlight
Booth #3065 – MaxFlight is always an impressive booth to visit, although they have been offering the same hardware platform for years now. I’m not sure if they will introduce anything new.
Owatch VR
Booth #891 – This Korean company will have their VR Beat Star ride, which is a VR rhythm game, along with a motion space travel VR ride. Otherwise I don’t know much about them, aside from what their website shows. They have some great deals on equipment if these types of games are up your alley.
Rilix
Booth #638 – This Brazilian company has been quite successful at getting their VR system out onto location in the US. Working with Andamiro USA, they’ll launch the new Ghost Coaster ride for the SpongeBob VR game that Andamiro has; otherwise I don’t know what else they might have aside from their standard Rilix VR rides.
Talon Simulations
Booth #2064 – This is the company behind the Dave & Busters VR installations (such as the Top Gun Maverick VR experience they did last year), but they have other products and services to work with other FECs out there. They were at IAAPA last year and I didn’t get a chance to visit them; no clue if they have something new for this show.
Valo Motion
Booth #4879. After a successful IAAPA Expo Europe, Valo Motion will be showing off the links of their latest ValoArena and ValoPark concepts for North America. ValoPark seems to be a combination of several Valo Motion games in a venue.
VR 360 Action
Booth #4089 – Last year, this company garnered a bit of attention by holding a raffle to giveaway their $30k OMG Simulator. This year, I haven’t heard anything about their presence, as I believe there have been some personnel changes and I’ve not spoken with any of the new staff. I would assume they’ll have their VR simulators there that they’ve shown off for a while, I just do not knnow if they have any new-new products or game experiences for their existing simulators.
VR eSport Arena / Phenomena VR
Booth #886 – I’m not sure why this company is going by VR eSport Arena instead of Phenomena on the map, but they will have their free roam VR arena solution running the latest software. I just do not know if they’ve introduced any new games since last year, but I would assume that is the case.
Zero Latency VR
Booth #3686 – Last but not least is Zero Latency, who have been riding high off of their Warhammer 40k Space Marine VR game that you can see here. I’m pretty sure this will be the highlight of their booth:
There are of course many more exhibitors at IAAPA 2024 than this, but not all of them are focused on the products that we obsess over here.
Stay tuned to the blog here as well as the Arcade Heroes YouTube channel and social media channels for updates on the many games that will debut at the show, and please let me know if there is anything you’d like me to put an extra focus on.
Safe travels to everyone headed out there – and thanks for reading! Which of these previews of IAAPA 2024 are you most interested in?
