Adjusting some news that we had previously reported, Series 4 software and cards for Raw Thrills’ Minecraft Dungeons Arcade is now available – previously the reporting had made it sound like it was available back in March. Let’s recap what Series 4 is all about and get things up to speed.
Minecraft Series 4 Trailer
We first reported on Minecraft Dungeons Arcade Series 4 back in March. That was done with Amusement Expo 2025 arriving, but not long after the show, the release was quietly pushed back and the trailer made private. Even the games themselves were updated to v5.00, only to revert back to v4.08 quickly afterwards. It’s likely that this delay happened due to two things: the tariffs and adjustments there, and the release of the Minecraft movie. For a time, Raw Thrills was stating the series would release in July; but as of today, we’ve learned that you can get them now.
Note that the original video that Raw Thrills had posted was removed from YouTube, so using this as a temporary filler.
Minecraft Series 4 Details
As one confirmation on you being able to get them now, I just placed an order for some boxes with my distributor. Series 4 is NOT listed on their website as of this writing, so you have to call in and ask about it. Note that your order will not come with the new banner and art, but it will come with a postcard. If you fill that out and return it, then you’ll get the Series 4 art kit. I don’t think that’s too much to ask, and it’s likely more economical to Raw Thrills to do it this way. You also can’t complain when the art kit is free, you just have to take an extra step.
For additional info, let’s recap that in the event that you missed it before or forgot. Here’s the Series 4 flyer:
Series 4 adds 25 new cards, bringing the total card count up to 143, and the number of game levels to 11. The new level is called Pumpkin Pastures, which is the main subject of the trailer as seen above. This is a unique and arcade exclusive variation of the level that is found on the console version, which I stress as I’ve overheard parents claiming “well we have Minecraft at home” more times than I can count. They don’t realize that it’s only similar in the name, although you probably wouldn’t know that if you haven’t read up on the game first.
While there is no indication if a Series 5 is in development, I would assume that’s the case since they’ve long been touting extra levels that would pop-up in the future (along with the “Free Future Updates” that you see on the flyer).
At least for now, I would note that the new series does NOT have any specific content from The Minecraft movie, which is considered to be separate from this. Perhaps that might change with a future series, but for now they will stay this way.
If you own a Minecraft Dungeons Arcade machine, then it should automatically update, as long as the machine is connected to the internet. It’s also free, so you don’t have to do anything. Mine popped up this morning and took about 20 minutes to get and install the update. how long it takes will depend on your internet connection.
I will have footage of the new Pumpkin Pastures level, directly captured from the machine, here before too long, so stay tuned for that. Until then, you should be able to play this at a Minecraft Dungeons Arcade machine near you as of now!
