I was going to make this post about two new locations but when investigating one of them that has opened in South Florida, they didn’t have any actual arcade machines, instead preferring to use emulators inside of some not-very-sleek-looking kiosks, so I’ll pass on them for now. Instead let’s move our focus to Indianapolis where a new arcade by the name of Boss Battle Games is officially opening their doors so that clients visiting the Washington Square Mall can enjoy some arcade goodness.
The business is using the increasingly popular model of charging for entry – $5/hr or $10/day – and their current line-up features a number of well recognized classics including: Area 51: Site 4; Atari Football; Crisis Zone; Donkey Kong Jr.; Double Dragon; Gauntlet Dark Legacy; Gyruss; Hard Drivin’; Karate Champ; Mario Bros; Mortal Kombat II & 4; NEO GEO 4 Slot; Primal Rage; Rampage World Tour; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; The Grid (2 linked units); Soul Calibur; Spy Hunter; Street Fighter Alpha 3; T-Mek; Virtua Cop; Vulgus; Wrestlefest, Wrestlemania & WWF Superstars; X-Men Children of the Atom and more. A few games like Time Crisis 3 or Initial D are being worked on and should be operational soon. They also have console gaming ready to roar, posting about the possibility for an N64 Goldeneye tournament to their Facebook page.
Given that they are in Indianapolis, perhaps they could also host a test or would be interested in grabbing the locally developed Skycurser game that we’ve posted about on here recently.
Either way, their grand opening is tomorrow – if you are local to them, be sure to show your support and give them a visit!
