Sega To Debut Jet Blaster At IAAPA Expo Europe 2021

Back around the beginning of July, we reported that Sega Amusements and Wahlap were gearing up to release a new racing game to arcades by the name of Jet Blaster. At the time, there was no indication of when the game would see a release, but today that has changed as Sega will debut the piece at the upcoming IAAPA Expo Europe 2021 event. That will take place on September 29th & 30th in Barcelona, Spain. Here’s the promo pic that Sega shared on social media this morning to discuss it:

We first learned about this game from the sudden appearance of several direct capture videos on SAI’s YouTube channel, and Sega has had a web page to promote the game since then. As the image above shows, this has the sorts of things that you would expect to find in a modern racer, such as the nitro-boost, but it also has some classic elements like the bike upgrade system and characters with differing stats (Sega’s other motion game on the market, ATV Slam, does something similar). It’s also nice to see it coming with 7 tracks – more content tends to mean more repeat plays too.

I likely won’t come across this one until IAAPA in November,  but will keep my eyes peeled for more news on this. What do you think about it so far?
