Namco holding a show in Singapore March 2nd & 3rd

Shaggy February 20, 2010 7

(Thanks to Kieranmay for the tip)

Namco has announced a private show in Singapore where they will be showing off their latest product lines for overseas customers. This will include titles we know about already, such as Dead Storm Pirates, Tank! Tank! Tank!, Maximum Tune 3 DX Plus and their crane line-up. It also was announced that they will be showing off three new, never before seen products at this particular show, which makes it all the more interesting. The show takes place on March 2nd and 3rd – we will have to see if we can learn what those new products will be and if they will also be at the upcoming Amusement Expo 2010 in Vegas next month as well. Of course, I do wonder if one of those “never-before-seen” products which has actually been seen might include Razing Storm SD as that seems like it would be a good fit for overseas markets, especially as the light-gun arena is heating up at the moment.

“I do wonder if one of those “never-before-seen” products which has actually been seen might include Razing Storm SD as that seems like it would be a good fit for overseas markets” we already know about razing storm so I doubt it will be that since the 3 games have never been exhibited although I think it will be there along side. it does make me wonder however why the sd version won’t be out until summer surely it won’t take that long as its not like making a brand new game from scratch.
for all we know they could be just redemption which isn’t really a bad thing but maybe one of them could be the rumored ridge racer arcade you was on about before shaggy perhaps?

The reason why I wonder if it could be Razing Storm SD is that AOU is more for the Japanese market and outside of things like Metal Gear, the games don’t get a lot of mainstream attention so they call the three games never-before-seen even though we might have heard about it at AOU. Who knows, it could be just what they say but I would be very surprised if we didn’t see Razing Storm SD since that should be quite a fit for the overseas market.

The three machines are Gogo GrandPrix, Terminator and Hydrothunder – I know I was surprised too!

Calm down arcade4ever 🙂 seriously, I am not 100 per cent sure that those three games are just the GW/RT titles – but they need to keep me off the sent so they gave that list when asked. We know BNG is working on a new shooter and a new street driver for 2010.

regarding the main question – it seems that I have been asked this question a lot over the last few days. A lot of red faces about the MGA news, and how we broke it before E3. The Stinger has been going over 15-years now, and our owner KWP and our ‘friends’ have some brilliant contacts in the modern amusement scene. Contacts that allows us to write over four Stingers a month filled with arcade and attraction news – nuff said.

I was partially right then (on the games being seen before, not on Razing Storm)
