February generally isn’t a time where a lot of new releases take place in our business but that doesn’t keep them from ever happening.
New Games For The Modern Arcade Market
The Hobbit Pinball – If there was an exact announcement about this game shipping out I missed it but from a number of social media postings, Jersey Jack Pinball has shown that different locations have begun receiving their Hobbit pinball machines. Here is some of the evidence from ‘out in the wild’:

There are more examples on their Twitter feed but that should suffice. It is good to see the game hit the market after the long development period – so of course we know look with anticipation to their 3rd machine which is being developed by Pat Lawlor 😀
Galaga Assault – We received a press release about this one today which was a little surprising as it has been showing up at a number of places including Level 257 but this should make it ‘official’. Galaga Assault, which was filmed at IAAPA 2015 is shipping out now. I did hear that the version at Level 257 was setup to run in Amusement Mode and not tickets mode so that might be of interest to gamers that wanted the deeper video arcade version.
Here is the press release – it is also worth noting that Bandai Namco Amusements finally has a Twitter feed, generally anything like that from Namco has been the home console side of the company.
