The official SNKP Blog (Japanese) has released the first images of the next King of Fighters that will hit the arcades, KOF A Maximum Impact Regulation A (not a mouthful, is it?). The new title uses Taito’s Type X2 PC-based hardware but even there the new KOF lags behind Sega’s Virtua Fighter 5 in terms of graphics (EDIT: Which really is not a big deal and we have yet to see the game in action yet, which always changes things. Even then, a lot of the special effects look pretty cool). If you go to the SNKP blog, the thumbnails won’t open up directly to a new window using FireFox, you have to save them and then rename the files as a .JPG, but I have done the work for you so here they are!
