If you live in or near Bensenville Illinois and you wanted to check out ASI, Betson is giving people a chance to get a taste of what their booth was like at the show with their Post ASI Seminars & Spotlight Show on April 24th. In addition to showing off some of their products they had at the show (including both versions of the new Big Buck Safari, the new online edition of Big Buck Hunter Pro, the converted version of Tokyo Drift, Super Bikes, DDR2 and more) they also will be holding a couple of seminars, one of which will discuss how BBHPro Online works. I plan on getting some more info on the new Coin-Up system by next week.
Betson also released a press release discussing their products and success at ASI, hit the post break to check it out. One interesting point that I didn’t know about was that Play Mechanix recently merged with Raw Thrills’. The two companies have been working closely together for a while now (with the exception of games like Aliens: Extermination and Deal or No Deal) so it looks like it was a natural course of action.
ASI LAUNCHES NEW AND EXCITING PRODUCTS FOR 2008
Las Vegas, NV – (March 27-29,2008)- Since its inception in 1984, the ASI (Amusement Showcase International) has become an important venue to feature new products for the spring buying season.
Many new and exciting products were displayed on the show floor this year such as Big Buck Safari designed by Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. In many operators opinions this game was the hit of the show. It was shown in both the standard cabinet and the new deluxe 42” widescreen LCD version. Big Buck Safari follows in the footsteps of Big Buck Hunter Pro, which just broke the 10,000 unit manufactured plateau.
CoinUp, a Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix game management system was also displayed. The official release of CoinUp will be in April. The Beta test version has been available for 6 months and over 150 units have been installed on this test version and 14,000 players have already joined the Big Buck Hunter Pro Online Nation. CoinUp features both local and national tournaments and Trophy Club featuring the innovative Hunting Party program.
The Fast and the Furious Drift Full Conversion Kit and the Upgrade Kit were also shown for the first time. The Upgrade Kit converts The Fast and the Furious to The Fast and the Furious Drift while the Full Conversion Kit takes several drivers and converts them into the Drift. These convertible driving games include Cruis’n USA, Cruis’n World, Cruis’n Exotica, California Speed, Off Road Challenge with more games to come!!!!!
Hollywood Reels was again one of the most talked about redemption games on the show floor. This game from Jennison Entertainment Technologies is proving to be a great earner. The game will be a feature piece in all FEC’s and redemption game centers going forward
