Released in the Spring of 2018, Halo: Fireteam Raven was a buzz-generating release by Raw Thrills. Many players have come across the game out there and today, the chances of finding the game will increase with the announcement of a new 2-player model. Let’s check it out.
Halo: Fireteam Raven – A Quick History
The game was first released in a giant 4-player Super Deluxe format that FECs like Dave & Busters proudly added to their line-ups. This was soon followed by a 2-player environmental cabinet, then a 4-player upright. The last one replaced the Super Deluxe models, in part due to being far less costly to manufacturer (which became quite a factor around 2021 and beyond).
Way back at the end of 2021 though, it was apparent that Raw Thrills was floating the idea of a 2-player model, as a modified Aliens Armageddon cabinet was spotted running Halo software. It’s been almost three years since that time though, so we had thought the idea was scrapped. Apparently, that is not the case.
Halo: Fireteam Raven – 2-player Upright
This morning, Betson sent out this flyer promoting the new 2-player model. It has a cabinet that is like a cross between the Aliens Armageddon cabinet and the Big Buck Reloaded dedicated model, providing partial holsters for the Assault Rifle controllers to go into. According to that email, the game is available now, although as of this writing I do not know what the price is (check back for an update, although you can ask your Raw Thrills distributor for it too):
This will certainly be at IAAPA – what do you think? Does this entice you over the other models? I personally would have liked to see it sooner than now, but better late than never.
