Dave & Busters has announced that starting on November 16th, they are temporarily becoming “Doom & Busters”, as a part of a promotional push tied to the upcoming Marvel film, Avengers: Doomsday. The promo will be happening until Jan. 27th, 2027; with it soon getting underway, let’s take a glance at what it entails and the new arcade games featured.
DOOM & Busters
This is not the first major brand-focused campaign Dave & Buster’s have done, although it is the biggest of theirs for some time. In addition to rebranding their locations along with new cocktails and mocktails, as part of DOOM & Busters they will be setting up special themed areas with new games, specifically:
- MARVEL Cosmic Invasion (Adrenaline)
- Avengers: Roller Race & Battle (Andamiro USA)
- Human Crane & the Mystery Crane
- Thor’s Hammer Strike (ICE)
- The Arena
- Smash N Win (ICE)
- Avengers Themed Photo Booth (Face Place)
Here’s the promotional image shared, where you can see most of these games represented. A few of them, like Thor’s Hammer Strike, have been given new artwork that features a likeness of an Avenger or Avengers; games like Cosmic Invasion we learned about when it appeared on test recently.

One question you might have regarding these is: will any of it be available to other locations? On most of them being rebranded or specially skinned games, these versions would stay as exclusives to D&B; I believe that for now, Andamiro’s Avengers: Roller Race & Battle is going to remain an exclusive (as stated according to a contact I asked at Andamiro), whilst Cosmic Invasion is more unclear. Adrenaline had no comment on that at all, so it could also be a D&B exclusive or a timed one. They however have made exclusives for them in the recent past like Hot Wheels Victory Lap, so it’s very possible this will be the same; we will know for sure in the event it’s at Adrenaline’s IAAPA booth.
As mentioned earlier, this is certainly the most extensive branded promotional campaign that D&B have done. This, combined with special prizes and the random “DOOMHOUR” that they are including (where at a random time of day, all tickets are double), should be a good way to hop aboard the film’s hype train and get people into locations. That also gives the movie a strong retail tie-in, which is far better than slapping the movie logo on random grocery store items (as many film companies have done in the past for marketing).
What do you think of this big new Dave & Buster’s promo?
