With the shameless plug out of the way, let’s get to the news:
Luigi Mansion Arcade Location Test Footage – Thanks to my podcast partner (speaking of which, been a few weeks since we did one of those…probably need to jump on that 😛 ) Sean McDermott of All Castle Games, he made a visit to the Dave & Busters location in IL that has the Luigi Mansion Arcade game on test and nabbed some footage. Check out all 15 minutes of it here:
New Ghostbusters Videmption Game Spotted in the Wild – Thanks to eagle eyed reader Jdevy, it appears that Play Mechanix & ICE is testing yet another arcade video redemption game now based on the Ghostbusters franchise. This is hot on the heels of Pink Panther Jewel Heist and Angry Birds Arcade. Now this revelation comes to us from a reflection in the glass of the LAI Mega Stacker game that is being played in the popular video below and you can only see it in the first moments of the video below but sure enough that is a Ghostbusters game. The cabinet appears to be similar to a ball throwing game (ala Go Ballistic) with the balls found in the bay up at the front. The logos of Play Mechanix and ICE both appear under the GB symbol; this also follows the recent rumor being found on forums that Stern is developing a Ghostbusters pinball machine. Here’s a screen grab of what you can see of the game plus the video it is found in below. If it is far enough along in development then we will likely see it at IAAPA 2015 a month from now. What are your thoughts on this?
